  1. @Ingit See in minds eye the thing you love the most right now, capture the essence of the love feeling towards that thing, then turn the light of that love back onto yourself. If you feel resistance towards this put the love onto the resistance and stay mindful as to what comes up, the shadow holds much self-hatred, stories about why you can't love yourself, you must love this hate to death. Talk to yourself like you are your own lover, become fascinated by everything that you do and love it all the same, understand every facet of your being. Only then will you be able to fully love another.
  2. Perfectionism combined with caring about what other people think, I used to experience this to an extreme degree as well. Until I started doing martial arts and fighting in tournaments, it wasn't a choice I had to get over it or get the shit beat out of me, hahaha. When you lose it humbles you into letting go of perfectionism, and you got to let go of the crowd of people watching or its lights out for you. Same applies to life in general, when you fall laugh, and know every failure is one step closer to mastery, as long as you see it as such, and if someone else judges you for falling, know that this is only because they do the same to themselves, inside their own mind.
  3. A mind looking for love outside by trying to give love to someone else. If you have love to give, why not give some of it to yourself? Its is fear of not getting love, but one fails to realize one is the source of love, infinite love is at your disposal but how are you using it?
  4. Well first ask the questions "What if I am delusional?", "How do I know what I think I know is actually what that thing is?". So then the only way to keep yourself open to the truth is to constantly be questioning, to maintain constant open-mindedness towards everything.
  5. No difference between living and dead
  6. @krockerman Suffering is always a choice, connect back to your true nature and you will see. @Truth Addict speaks the truth
  7. @krockerman Good idea, meditate more get into tune with you being pure consciousness, eventually you will realize even if you did enter a hell realm it couldn't hurt the real you.
  8. @krockerman You could also experience a realm of infinite love, it comes with the territory you are treading in.
  9. I would not know peace if I did not know suffering.
  10. Certainly! Sometimes one has to play out those feelings and let them get released. I would say put ones awareness on the resistance, allow it, and accept it for what it is until the resistance starts to fade. There may be some unconscious emotions attched to the resistance that will come up. Whatever comes up, observe it and allow it to be.
  11. @Michael569 @Shin All you gotta do is recontexualize life as a video game and there you go
  12. Hatha Yoga, Martial Arts, Reading & Studying, Meditation, Chakra work, Psychoanalysis, Psychedelics.
  13. Threw ones observation of an emotion. Threw direct expirence. Contemplate about emotions, and observe them without judgement.
  14. Wow thank you very much for the link! So beautiful. The trees are connected to the earth, to the air, to the oceans, lakes, and rivers. The fire that burns them down is inside all of us.
  15. Oh yeah of course it would be worth doing, especially if you are doing nothing for fitness right now. If you are only gonna be doing those exercises switch around with variations of each exercise (Like wide grip pushups, narrow grip, etc). I would also recommend chin/pull ups (They go well with push ups for the upper body). Also you will learn form for the exercises. This way if you get to a point where you want to see more gains, then your body will have already gotten good at doing the exercises and you can just add some weight.
  16. Why does one want to?
  17. @How to be wise Good job, Katie Byron is great. I am not speaking on what your life is like, but I do think it is important to keep in mind that it can be a lot easier to master emotions well in a first world country taking advantage of all the things we take advantage of, as oppose to being dirt poor living in a ghetto, or in a third world country. I'm glad I have that contrast, makes me appreciate all I take advantage of now. I guess what I am trying to ask is, do you think you could be homeless, with nothing, no one to turn to, and still find that inner peace?
  18. @saish Why do you want to travel? Where would you go? What would you do? If you had that youtube channel right now, what would you say to the people feeling hopeless? What is stopping you from making the channel now? What resistance do you feel? Create that hope yourself, its inside you, you just have to bring it out. Flesh out where your heart wants to go. Ask yourself loads of questions. Find out exactly what it is that you really want, and why you want it. Create a vision to motivate you. You are not a failure! Something happened to you that your ego mind called you a failure for. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, look around! When an animal out in nature falls over do they stay on the ground and cry about being a failure? No! They shake it off and keep going!
  19. Addictions are just habits, unwire the neurotic habits and rewire with healthy habits. You gotta do it slowly, feel it out. Observe yourself doing the habits you deemed as negative, try to understand why you do it, what you are trying to get out of it. What would you do if you were a millionaire? What do you love about life?
  20. But if you felt great why did you stop? What are the crazy benefits you speak of? Snowball effects take a very long time, and there are times where you are at a plateau and it feels as if you are not growing. Durring those times when things seems stagnate we must remain aware, feel out what to do next, don't throw down everything in frustration, it is all an adventure. Why do you want more in all areas of life? What areas do you see?
  21. Fear can be contained within love, but love cannot be contained within fear. Love the fear, talk to it, understand its veiw point, feel what it wants you to feel.
  22. How did you feel when you were meditating, exercising, and reading? How do you feel not doing those things? You will fall, you will fly. Hidden in success is a mountain of failure.
  23. If I had not died, I would not know my love for life, existence, everything, its so fucking beautiful, I love all of it. Can you see it?
  24. One must find out what needs to be learned from the experience. People tend to build an identity around trauma "I am the one who went threw this", once this happens new perspectives on the experience get thrown away because one refuses to see it as anything other then trauma. So then, one must find what context, what angle, one needs to look at the experience under in order to find peace.
