  1. Yes Enlightenment isn't a state or something that is attained in the future. It's what is already the case. Enlightenment is the solid full-blown recognition that the 'ME' structure is an illusion. This is another way of describing non-duality because what's recognized simultaneously is there aren't any separate individuals.... never was, never will be... it's always been an illusion(hints lifting the veil). Sometimes this is described as self realization /Oneness/The self, others say it's a complete illusion and there is nothing here at all (MAYA) What seems to happen after this deep recognition is a disentangling from social conditioning and a snapping out of The Matrix. The individual self agenda is completely rocked and dropped because it's now recognized by no one that there never was a self... Maya was just being identified with as the 'ME' Deeply conditioned patterns can still continue for a while but not for to long... Once the bottom of the bucket falls out, it will never hold water again. It's sometimes described as the end of suffering because it's recognized there never was anyone here to suffer... the whole thing was a complete misidentification " the separation never occurred" - A Course in Miracles ❤
  2. Yes good stuff... everything is always falling into perfect place... it's only a separate self agenda/ego that would say otherwise. Whatever is happening is what IS... Dropping the resistance to what is = liberation. ❤
  3. Yep that happens of course... People can turn doing nothing into a practice ?
  4. It's amazing how this message works so well with coping with the stresses of this coronavirus and how we really don't know what's going to happen ...but really the message can be used in all walks of life...she is great ❤
  5. Yeah it's very interesting I think the ego subconsciously knows it isn't real so it resists practices that shine light on its own unreality...? "The ego construct is nothing more than the impulse to repeat. It is simply the path that energy once took, and the tendency for the energy to take that path again, whether it is negative or positive for the organism. There is endless levels of memory or mind, spirals within spirals. When your consciousness identifies with this mind or ego construct, it ties you to social conditioning, which you could call the matrix" - Samadhi (Maya illusion of the self) I had always kept my meditation and yoga practice very simple... Focus on the breath in and out. Do not resist any thoughts but simultaneously do not focus on them either. When thoughts arise simply notice them and let them fall away. Don't force yourself to sit for an hour and meditate I found small 10-minute periods throughout the day work well also...❤
  6. @Natasha exactly..... here is some of the transcript from my favorite movie... Samadhi (Maya illusion of the self): "In today's world, the vast majority of people who are engaged in religious or spiritual practices, such as yoga, prayer, meditation, chanting, or any kind of ritual, are practising techniques which are conditioned. Which means they are just part of the ego construct. The seeking and the activity isn't the problem; thinking you have found the answer in some external form is the problem. Spirituality in its most common form is no different than pathological thinking that is going on everywhere. It is further agitation of the mind. More human doing, as opposed to human being. The ego construct wants more money, more power, more love, more of everything. Those on the so called spiritual path desires to be more spiritual, more awake, more equanimous, more peaceful, more enlightened"
  7. http://www.livingnonduality.org/titles.htm https://ajatasunyata.com/ I just wanted to share some of these websites/free PDF books.. I was able to speak with Robert on the phone the other day... he mentioned all the free stuff on all his websites ❤
  8. Turns out that what is actually seeking isn't an entity or an individual. The very thing seeking is just seeking energy itself. This seeking energy feels separate and lacking and believes it needs to find something to complete itself. The tricky thing about this energy is it actually isn't real, and there was never anything missing. So this energy will keep running on the hamster wheel forever constantly seeking for something that was never missing to begin with. This energy is called Maya the illusion of the self. So the Paradox ends up being that the very thing that is seeking to become enlightened was never real in the first place... So when it's recognized by no one that the Seeker is an illusion and there was never anything missing that needed to be found... all that's left is everything for no one AKA Liberation/Enlightenment.. ❤
  9. Definitely will for sure...excited to meet her in person...Skype is nice but gets a little old after a while ?
  10. I'm going to speak with her on Friday in Ojai California... I didn't realize she lived only 40 minutes away and I hit her up on email and she agreed to meet up... she seems great... we're having coffee lol
  11. Although these words seem simple... there is a powerful message behind them and I've seen it transform people's life: There's less resistance to negative stuff now than there was before, I'm not depressed because I have absolutely no idea of what is going on so I can't create long stories about why these things are happening to ME anymore. Whatever is happening is what is happening. I love how it's nothing special I agree it's very humble though ?
  12. @traveler It really sounds like you have recognized some of the highest teachings emptiness within emptiness.. it doesn't get more complete than that... I'm happy for you ❤
  13. @traveler oh good I'm glad you're doing better I didn't read the follow on posts or notice how old they were... It sounds like you stopped resisting the situation and the feelings that were arising..❤ Would you mind listing maybe the top three things that helped you the most with your depression and anxiety... I have social anxiety as well I was just wondering what worked the best for you. ?
  14. You are not your stories... if you look close enough you realize there isn't a YOU. The idea of YOU is a compilation of stories ideas and beliefs that YOU hold about yourself... true freedom is freedom from the self which is already the case it just needs to be recognized.❤
  15. "Everything is it including nothing"
  16. @Kshantivadin it's good that you're really exploring this... so many just go with the popular belief.
  17. @traveler Some antidepressants like Lexapro can temporarily help with social anxiety but you might want to think about some cognitive behavioral health therapy. Yes the way you feel is most likely your own mind and the effects of the social anxiety... Remember you can never control how people think about you... but you can control the way you think they think about you... Unconditional love helps so much with social anxiety... No matter what anybody says or does to you just love them love them love them. This doesn't mean you let them walk all over you still need to set healthy boundaries and defend yourself as needed ... you can still love them while doing all of this. Social anxiety makes us think so many things that aren't true and when you actually talk to these individuals you find out that they really sometimes like you even though you might have thought they hated you or disliked you or thought you were weird... So much of it is in our own minds... best thing you can do really is stay out of the mind and just love love love..? Social anxiety is tough I have it to so totally understand... It's not the show stopper it seems to be though... it's best just to accept that you have it... and try to get some help and work on love..
  18. The ego is a dysfunctional survival mechanism... it's endlessly needy and never satisfied more money more power more Love more Enlightenment more of everything. Feeding it any attention whether positive or negative only reinforces its existence... Best thing to do with the Ego is recognize its unreality. When the steam has been taken out of the egos ego's sail it's slowly deflates and is rendered harmless...
  19. Due to there being so much confusion about what was actually being pointed to, I found this video where Jim describes this pinnacle of Liberation fairly well. Watch from 16:00 - 20:00 if interested ☺
  20. What are the benefits in believing / becoming directly aware that I am God? You can also list the benefits of just believing in god or not believing in god. Bump...
  21. Nobody wants to hear we are just evolutionary byproducts of the Big Bang, but really once you relinquish hope and fear, and start really paying close attention to what's going on, all the evidence is simply pointing to this hard Truth. I think everyone actually subconsciously knows this fact but habitually avoids thinking about it due to the high level of fear and anxiety it creates. I've heard it said.. yeah but how come the earth is perfectly positioned from the sun in a way that life can thrive... there must be some kind of higher power in control of everything... The problem with that statement is, there is nothing to compare it to. If the universe has been here for an infinite amount of time, we would not be alive and aware of anything until the perfect situation took place that allowed for life to be created.... Well Here We Are... possibly the only life that has ever existed or will ever exist in this ungraspable and marvelous creation of Absolute Perfection. The simple hard fact of reality is that when we die it's probably lights out for good. People claim that near-death experiences prove that there is something or some kind of spirit that exists after death, but these experiences are most likely energy and chemicals in the body and brain going into overdrive trying to keep the organism alive as it oscillates in and out of consciousness and in some cases death. It's incredible what the human mind will conceptualize when the fear of death is silently in the background whispering it's Eerie reminders of the inevitable Darkness to come. In a certain sense this can be an amazing message because it's your ticket to get out there and enjoy your life because you only have one.
  22. The claim is "Nothing Matters" Nothing in the universe has any meaning, purpose or value whatsoever.(this doesn't mean there won't be consequences for your actions... what it means are those consequences don't mean anything either) I don't mean this just Absolutely speaking, I mean it in every possible way that anything could mean anything(which it doesn't)....including relative. It doesn't matter whether you sit on your couch and eat cookies until your age 42 and die of a heart attack or you become the President of the United States and save the planet from the third world war nuclear attack. There is no one here for it to matter for... This isn't bad news... this is pure unconditional freedom for No One. Nothing you do has any significance. You are just one individual among a species of primate with billions of relatives living on a tiny rock in the middle of nowhere. So why do you worry all the time? Why do you fret over what other insignificant primates think about your own insignificance? Who cares what they think? The rest of the Universe certainly doesn’t. Why do you panic about deadlines and let that panic paralyze you? Trust me, your work is not worth the panic. Your work doesn’t matter. There’s no point in getting all worked up about work. Why do you care so much about getting money? So that you can buy things that don’t matter? If you have enough food to eat, what’s more money going to do anyway? Why do you hold on to the hurt from when others have wronged you? What they did has no significance at all. Let it go: set it adrift among the stars and all the empty blackness. There is a certain usefulness to the nihilistic vertigo that comes from casting your gaze across a cosmic scale. We silly apes spend so much time fretting and worrying about our imagined importance that we miss out on The Thing. The Thing is life is a remarkable and unlikely gift. It doesn’t matter if you are religious or anti-religious, or some more reasonable perspective in between–life is a gift. Some of the power of the Universe coalesced into a little bit of matter and energy that can know it’s here: you. You can see a sunset, climb a tree, kiss another living fragment of the Universe, and laugh. Even more powerful is your ability to extend grace, friendship, and kindness to other bits of the Universe. You can’t do a single thing of cosmic importance. So tell someone to have an amazing day. Tell a stranger that their shoes look awesome. Embrace your smallness when you think about your problems and stress, but own your incredible power when dealing with other living things. You are small, but you are very big to other small things. Enjoy the freedom that comes with being alive. Don’t let the grind of all our imaginary importance take away The Thing.
