  1. So for the past year or so I am struggling to be awake at day, even though I sleep 8-9 hours daily. I tried changing my sleep pattern and took notice of my sleep cycle and schedule, however nothing helps. I also considered nutrition, but all in vain regardless. Is there maybe a spiritual/motivational lack to live? Because, to be frank, I feel depressed. Is there maybe any spiritual work I could do to solve this issue? Thank you for your time.
  2. @Espaim Whad do you mean by bloodwork? Elaborate please
  3. @Michael569 Wow, I actually eat a lot of those things you mentioned... What could be a great replacement of those dishes?
  4. @Opo I meant that I tried different diets but all in vain. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  5. Currently I don't feel very well, because I hardly experience any emotions. Whenever people are happy, tell each other jokes, I feel nothing (nothing makes me happy, usually i fake it so I wouldn't look like out of place). Let's look the opposite way (I'll tell you my experience). A week ago my friend passed away. I was in his funeral. Many people were there, everyone were crying, sad, however I felt... nothing. Even the first time I heard the terrible news I didn't feel anything. I can't be in relationships, because I don't feel anything towards anyone, so I'm usually on my own.. My recent stage in life is really miserable. I have no clue how to feel emotions again.
  6. Hello guys! Today I randomly asked myself about the essence of life purpose. We all have heard, that the best kind of life is the life in which one follows your passion and love. Often it is considered as life purpose. All successful people 'follow their hearts', they love what they do and that makes them happy. It got me thinking - does life purpose is measurable only in doing something which you love? What is life purpose anyways - is there any better definition than 'doing things you love and helping others'? Is it something that has been written since our birth or does it rely on our environment/ our current mindset? How does one even find his life purpose? Do we have some sort of a compass in us which guides the way of finding it? And why so many people fail to find it? P.S. I'm sorry about too many questions. It struck me that I don't understand the meaning of life purpose at all. Maybe you have some ideas/experiences? Thank you!
  7. I can't understand why I fall asleep. I've tried sitting in different positions, tried to meditate with my eyes opened, tried to focus as much as I can, however I always end up failing. It's even hard to stay awake, if I do only 10 minute course. Yesterday my friend made a 30 minute meditation and I wanted to participate too. We both closed our eyes. At first I was awake, focusing on my breath. I didn't even notice the moment I fell asleep. My friend woke me up at the end of the session. It's similar to every session I make, no matter of the time I spend. What should I do?!
  8. @Leo Gura I have read something about Kriya Yoga this week. There's one thing I'm curious about - different sources say that one should master Kriya Yoga with teacher. Thus, I have a question - would it be better to find a teacher or should I try Kriya Yoga on my own?
  9. @andyjohnsonman Muscle tensing is an interesting method - didn't think about that. Thank you
  10. @Salvijus My current situation can't allow not eating meat
  11. @Joseph Maynor So what you're saying is that Ego is ever-present?
  12. We all know that there is an ultimate stage of consciousness - enlightenment. However - is there an ultimate opposite of enlightenment, where one is so 'asleep' he can never be even more unawakened?
  13. @Jack River That's a truly deep answer you gave. Now I have to think about it. Thank you!
  14. @Jack River If you say that progress mostly is reactionary, then how does one truly change?
  15. @Serotoninluv So it means that the way we perceive reality depends on our current stage of consciousness
  16. @Serotoninluv Perhaps. It's an interesting question, because it seems like in the existence there are dual things like God and Devil, light and darkness, internal and external. It should be the same as enlightened and super-asleep. HOWEVER, as Leo says, existence is NON-DUAL, which means that there's no difference between enlightened and unconscious. Or maybe I miss out on something?
  17. I have been thinking about this for a while. I'll be graduating school pretty soon, and I start to think whether I should go to university like most of the people or should I travel around the world, learning from different cultures and work on my inner-self 24/7. What guys do you think? Is it necessary to give up everything and go explore the world and myself?
  18. Try to remember your childhood - there must be some certain things that fascinated you when you were a child. Children are extremely curious because they are not yet fed with all those nonsenses from adults. Dig up your child spirit.
  19. Hello to everyone! For the past 2 years I have been constantly falling asleep during my school and outer school activities and even at home. Everything that I do makes me fall asleep, no matter what I do. The weird thing is that I'm sleeping 8 hours per average and I mostly feel good which vanishes the second I start to do something. It makes me depressed, because I feel like my life slips away with too much sleep... What can I do to prevent it? Is it my mental health perhaps or lack of purpose of life (which is true, because I feel unfulfilled inside)? I would be glad to hear every advise Thank you
