  1. @twoosees i think that cannabis these days could be classified as a psychedelic, because they can be very potent. why did you stop? do you plan to use those types of substances in the future?
  2. Exactly. "The only way to reach God is to learn how to be human."
  3. Don't forget to also be open-minded. During a period in my life, I was adamant in my belief that psychedelics were the key to unleashing infinite freedom ("enlightenment"). Whoever criticized what I was doing (that is, tripping every weekend), I would immediately get defensive and I would block what the other person was saying. That also happened with meditation. I used to meditate 4 hours a day. And I couldn't see how that was actually hurting me.
  4. The way you were expressing yourself instantly reminded me of hypomania/mania. Have you ever taken any medication for that? Lithium or something?
  5. I don't get it. In what way is music hurting you?
  6. Do you work/study?
  7. I can relate to what you're saying. I used to not believe that I could live a happy & normal life. But it is definitely possible. The key is to find good professionals.
  8. That's a very important & tricky topic. I guess you develop this sense through trial and error. A therapist or a trustworthy friend can also help with that. I highly recommend this episode: (And also the book that Leo cites in that video).
  9. interesting. i hope this gives you good results
  10. This is a myth. Taking the right medication helps you actually feel emotions. Depression is the thing that blocks them. Dude, quit this mindset! Seeking help is by no means being weak. Quite the contrary. It takes a lot of courage to do so.
  11. Never, ever try to be positive. Focus on being natural & authentic.
  12. Hey, if you ever go to a psychiatrist, ask him if you can take bupropion. This medication has been very effective for me. Contrary to other antidepressants, it doesn't give you sexual problems and it also tends to decrease one's appettite (it's not recommended for people who have anorexia, for example). This medication is commonly prescribed to people who have been experiencing lack of volition, which is just a fancy word for will power. How's the therapy going?
  13. So you never get frustrated from being bad at something?
  14. Can you think of places for you to meet new people?
  15. i would give him my current psychotherapist number.
  16. the problem with shadow work is that it is endless. when you slice one head of the hydra, two new ones appear.
  17. right interesting idea. could you share what habit you're trying to implement? and what would be those 3 different levels?
  18. Rooting for you!!! ???
  19. what do you mean by mindfulness? you try to pay attention to the thing you're doing?
