People being Republican in early 2000 was not a bad thing. Hawkins showed disdain for the left but he didn't peddle propaganda as far as I know. I don't fault him for any problems with his model. As a result of your information consumption, you're seeing things that don't exist. I'm not stage green. I'm anti-falsehood. Does stage green bring any virtues to the table? Virtue is not weakness, even if you see weak stage green people trying to be virtuous. The ideal man is virtuous, not vicious. Integrity, honesty, compassion, empathy, treating others with respect, might rub you the wrong way, but these are all aspects of the ideal man. As is mental strength, knowledge, wisdom, intelligence, etc. How integrous are you? How honest are you? How much do you lie to yourself and others? I'm not interested in your hatred of what you perceive to be weak stage green people. Yeah, they can be annoying, but who gives a fuck? When they start operating on 90% falsehoods and when they make up the majority of the population, I might take up your mantle.

What I'm trying to tell you is, you assume these people are like you and thinking like you. You are wise enough to not want those things and you think because it's so clear to you, it's clear to them. That's projection. When egotists conquer one thing, they look for something else to conquer. Once they conquer the world or all that you could imagine someone would want to conquer, they will need another target of acquisition. Their will to power does not necessarily go away once they accomplish their goal. If you understand the ego, I assume you'd agree with me on the above, but you for some reason don't think it applies to Musk. Again, it all comes down to reading reality accurately. Discerning "why" Musk is doing what he's doing can be a question in your head and can be fleshed out without relying on biased sources. Believe it or not, it's possible to be objective.

I just had an idea. What if all debates and arguments were moderated by a well-trained AI and the unbiased AI could be the judge. I know there'd be problems but they could be ironed out. Imagine that as the battleground of ideas. Meet me in the ring mother fucker! 😂 I intuited a while back that many non-thinking people would hate AI due to it's fact-based approach pushing back against their ideas. I've seen my family members reject it's factually correct answers and they justify it with "you can't trust that thing. It's not always right". haha. Actually, thinking about it more. This could be a really big deal and even core to society at some point in the future. It's very ambitious but it could be huge in terms of financial success AND in healing the collective epistemology. -

@zurew Thanks. Yeah, I need to drill this into my skull: It's like I know it, but I don't want to accept it and I continually rebel against it. -

haha, I like this. Do you know of any books or anything that go into this more deeply? I feel like we need an updated resource on this whole phenomenon. I've had several conversations where I lead someone to see their position is irrational and they just say things like "yeah, you have a point, something to think about". 😂 I mean, I understand bias, but damn, strap on a sack. It's like they don't have the courage to be wrong, which makes me think they really want to be right due to some inferiority/superiority complex. Just a theory, and it wouldn't apply across the board but I think it's an aspect in at least some cases. -
You're projecting your psyche onto Musk. Do you think 200b is enough for everyone? Also, with Musk, it's not really about the money anymore since he's already got enough and can easily continue to generate more. What he's after now is full control over humanity. He wants full control over all of us and the planet. That's why he's doing it. Plus, he loves the attention. He's now a cancer on humanity. He just endorsed Rick Scott to hold one of the highest positions in US government, House leader. Elon is now fully on board with the far right agenda. Just a couple of Rick Scott's ideas: Sunsetting Federal Programs One of Scott's most controversial proposals was to sunset all federal legislation after five years. This would have potentially affected popular programs like Social Security and Medicare. After facing significant backlash, Scott revised his proposal to exempt Social Security, Medicare, national security, veterans' benefits, and other essential services. Tax Policy Scott initially proposed requiring all Americans to pay some federal income tax, which could have increased taxes for low-income earners and some middle-class individuals who currently pay no federal income tax due to various deductions. He later dropped this proposal and replaced it with a requirement for able-bodied Americans under 60 without young children or incapacitated dependents to work.

Nice! Yeah, I think we'd all agree more if we were all working from the same definitions 😆. I'll check that post out. -
Yeah, I'm sure he's a great guy, it's just disappointing that someone like him would contribute to spreading false propaganda.

Good idea. It'd be a lot of work though. -

If you have high awareness, you have high awareness of your thoughts. For example, I can often see in real time where thoughts come from or trace them back to what triggered them. You can witness the instant intuition serves something up from nowhere. The more aware of the inner world, the higher the consciousness. Thoughts are a part of that inner world and as such, a higher consciousness would very much notice them and their quality. Which means they'd be aware of fallacy in thinking, and they would catch the errors quickly because of the high awareness, and awareness would also make it obvious that the quality of those thoughts are of high importance. The lower the consciousness, the more predictable it is. It's like Pavlov's bells. A low consciousness person usually acts on impulse without thought and they're quick to emote. Another indicator is not caring if what they're saying is grounded in solid reason. There are several other indicators/heuristics but I think you get the idea. -

I was wondering when Dunning Kruger was going to chime in. Spot on, as always. Thanks! -

Yeah, we're operating on different definitions for sure. You'll have a much easier time finding God if the items on my list are checked. I can't really explain what high consciousness is but it's more than just spiritual development. You can be enlightened and still be cognitively undeveloped. Some people don't exercise cognition and as a result, they aren't very good with it. You have to put time in thinking if you want to be good at it. spiritual experiences don't automatically unlock thinking ability. I can't put into words what I'm trying to describe. The thinking occurs within an expanded awareness. It's not just thinking and thinking well. It's high awareness of the thinking. To be metacognitive and to be highly aware at the same time creates a thinking space that is totally different than a thinking space without those. I think it's hard to know what it means to be high consciousness because even if you are, you don't really know it without a lot of inquiry. You can be high conscious as hell and not know it. You'd know something is different from your consciousness and others, but you won't necessarily know that it's "higher". If you're enlightened, you have high consciousness in that regard but my definition doesn't include spiritual development alone. It's development across all lines, via a mind that has high consciousness... if that makes sense. EDIT: I also suspect that you can be high-conscious and undeveloped across all lines as well, which might make people appear to be low conscious, so I guess I should start using the term "undeveloped" instead of low conscious because I can't know for sure. -
It seems this highly developed spiritual guru has fallen for propaganda. Even if it were true, he attacks the most fringe elements of the blue side, which are obviously absurd, but they're not prevalent nor very popular outside of universities. It's pretty bad when even modern day spiritual gurus are hocking right-wing propaganda. Spewing this nonsense, which can easily be verified as false, to a large crowd is irresponsible and really points to a lack of concern about what is true. If I were following him, I'd be so disappointed by this epistemic failure that I'd have to stop.

Sorry, that's not gonna cut it either.

Yeah, they were all saying Bill Gates was gonna chip everyone. I guess if you send a hotrod classic car into orbit, you're cool and can get away with it but if you donate millions to help starving people across the world, you're an evil prick.

Exactly. When people do things, we can observe those things. When they do 1000 things, we can observe those and add all them all up to make a very accurate judgement about a character if we are careful with our thinking. I think some people must have a very hard time with this type of thinking and because they themselves can't see clearly or don't want to, they project onto others that they cannot see clearly either and they assume people are drones who just fell for propaganda or something. They say things like "You can't read minds.". 😂 It's called observation and contemplation. I think people who fall into this category lack understanding of human nature. The current state of human nature isn't pretty, and many spiritual people do their best to avoid the truth because it isn't compatible with their version of spirituality. Most of the population lacks the cognitive development to spot deception, thus are easily influenced. They don't want to accept this. To me, it's something like: High awareness of cognition (metacognition) Desire to seek truth and desire to act on it Cognitively energetic, because work has to be put in for development to occur Not bothered by uncertainty Ability to hold contradictory ideas Ability to do hypotheticals and to immerse oneself into other perspectives Deep understanding of human nature Deep understanding of how bias works Ability to accept what is true, even if you can't stand it Logical, good epistemology I think low-conscious people can find God if they want to, but that doesn't mean they would be consciously developed, IMO. How do you define it? -

Did you hear about Russian state TV airing Melania's nudes the other day and then congratulating Trump right after? I interpreted this as Putin sending a message to Trump, but I'm not sure what the message would be. The following is pure speculation, obviously, but Imagine if Putin has a video of Trump having sex with a minor or something like that and and then he airs Melania's nudes on state tv. If you were Trump, that would be scary as hell. It could be Putin reminding Trump he's still got control over him and to not let his ego get too far ahead of itself with his newfound power. -

Jesus. First of all, he didn't go in-depth on rocket science. Second, because you explain why material x is better than material y does not indicate intelligence. It indicates a working mind that's probably interested in complexity. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's dumb, but this video is not evidence. The best evidence I've heard is that he's like #4 in the world on some video game. That is more impressive than him regurgitating concepts that people think you have to be intelligent to regurgitate. Many people could easily commit to memory what he's talking about in a day. It is not genius to get the high-level overview of how things work. If you're the head of SpaceX, I'd say it'd be a good idea to understand the rockets. I just started getting into microscopy, of which, most people are clueless. If I start talking about different staining techniques and the chemistry behind them, would you think I'm intelligent? I would hope not. Some people are drawn to complexity, and Elon seems to be, but I don't think he's no more a genius than I am, and I am not. -

Great video. The same people who turn a blind eye to Trump will turn a blind eye to Elon. They'll call this video fake news and propaganda. This woman does a nice job of articulating our situation: She mentions the problem is people can't accept facts, which is 100%. Why can't they accept facts? Because they're ignorantly serving their weak ass petty emotions, which they can't even identify in themselves. If you ask me, I think Putin is behind most of this. There's no telling how deeply these bot farms go. I wouldn't be surprised if they're even on this forum. -
Shhhhhh..... This can bring down their entire house of cards. NVM, who am I kidding? They'd have to contemplate it for that to happen. Carry on.

Not everyone is susceptible to propaganda. Sorry man, but your fantasy will never manifest because reality don't work like that. If you build your house on sand, it will fail. If you set a con artist to head up your civilization, it will fail. That's just how reality works. Your position could be considered as a very unlikely thing that could occur, but to be optimistic about it is a clear indication of wishful thinking or ignorance. If something has a 5% chance of occuring, you should assume it won't. I suspect Musk and RFK make you think the odds are much higher than what they are, but Musk isn't the genius you think he is and he also doesn't give two fucks about humanity. RFK is an anti-vax idiot who refuses to accept when he's wrong. Musk makes fun of people on Twitter about as much as Trump does. He's against humanity, not for it. He's out for power. And JD Vance is another billionaire's project to control government. So who is going to improve things and how? They are the swamp. If you think Elon is some sort of a genius, you've bought the propaganda. Here's your genius: He tells people he never lost of game of chess because he wants everyone to think he's a genius, but wouldn't a genius know that people could sniff that bullshit out a mile away? He said chess is simple. If you've ever played a good bit of chess, you know how stupid that statement is. If I'm being charitable, maybe he meant he just didn't like the game's constraints, but even if that's what he meant, he didn't make the distinction, and distinctions are what geniuses are known for. I'd be interested if someone can show some good evidence that indicates he's a genius. -
PLEASE, for the love of God, fix this retarded logic. This is why people vote for Trump. Because they're too lazy or don't care about operating on truth.

Rogan is a king himself, so it doesn't apply to him. What I'm saying is that many other influencers do play that game with Rogan. They kiss his ass and avoid criticism and even surrender their own positions if it means they can get ahead via Rogan. Patrick-Bet David showered him with gifts worth god knows how much, live on air. How many people do you think are doing that behind the scenes? Imagine being that popular. Getting a single interview with Rogan can set you for life. Same with Trump. If you can have him call your name out, it can make or break you. The left doesn't have anything like this. Anyway, I'm getting bored of my own thoughts. Thanks for the back and forth! -
It's not about admitting they were wrong. It's about them recognizing the coming reality. If we make them double down in their Trump support, they'd be less likely to recognize it. As an added bonus, many of those new people could end up being anti-Trump and they might then turn on the rest of them if we just let them come to it on their own; not by admitting their mistake, but simply be seeing the price of eggs didn't go down or by seeing the lives of their loved ones get worse due to cuts to social programs. We'll just create more cultist if we continue warning them.

@What Am I Look, if you want to toss out the phenomenon I'm talking about, you won't see reality. You will end up with justifications like you just gave. The phenomenon of people looking out for their own best interest by bending the knee and keeping quiet else their careers be ended is not only real, it's in full effect and is the very mechanism that allows Trump to reign supreme over the Republican Party. This is not a matter of opinion. People are driven by the knowledge that by stepping out of line, Trump could end their career with a single tweet. What does this manifest? People swallowing their own beliefs, creating an echo chamber where dissent is squashed, and loyalty is rewarded, no matter the cost to integrity. They kiss his ass like you wouldn't believe. It would make you sick to see it, which I'm guessing you haven't. This phenomenon that's been on full display for several years also maps over to the influencer space. Why do you think it took Kyle K so long to criticize Joe Rogan over the years? Now, WHAT IF... you had the bright idea that instead of criticizing Rogan, you kissed his ass and buttered him up... might that be profitable. Kyle could have done that, but he chose integrity instead. Many people would kiss his ass. Anyway, here's an example:
