So this is something that has been bothering me a little, and I want to discuss. Context: Daniel Schmidt is a spiritual teacher, very talented musician and artist and has directed the very popular Samadhi and Inner Worlds Outer Worlds film series. Which I consider to be the best videos to introduce people into non-duality. He released a video yesterday describing his yet most powerful experience he had in one of his meditations, which is on itself very interesting and I suggest you all watch it and his other videos I linked above. Anyways, very similar to Leo, he has had many FINAL ego-death experiences in the past , and like Leo he says this time was for real and that if he kept going he would not be alive today So...... I guess this goes for Daniel, Leo and other teachers, does that mean your past ego-deaths were delusions? Having a no-self experience is absolute in the sense that you are AWARE that you no longer exist, and at that point the mind isnt thinking "I dont think there is coming back from this" unless of course the self-identification never stopped, so to say the most recent one was going to be for real this time makes me question how honest and sincere you were when you recounted those past experiences of no-self.

When I watched Daniel's video I immediately remembered Leo's and Ralston's exchange, which is why I brought this topic up

Imagine someone making a video titled: "Why I stopped watching movies". or "Why I stopped reading novels". Even if you are fully "enlightened", I just don't see the reason why someone would announce that they are never going to take psychedelics again. Movies and novels are not medicine one "stops taking" once they feel better. They offer alternative views into infinite imagination, which I cannot see myself ever getting bored of.

Someone being able to ruin another's life with "black magic" isn't something that rings true to me. But hey, I am glad you are doing better.

He faked his own suicide/death once or twice, worrying his friends and family, he also ended up in a psych ward and posted Instagram stories about it making fun of the whole situation. He justifies all those incidents saying its does it "just to get peoples attention". The actual "enlightenment" content is good, but you have dig through click-bait, trollish behavior and viral toxicity to get to it.

Connor's narcissism and immaturity keeps him from seeing how cringe and problematic his approach is being viewed by everyone else. The only thing he has done is dissuade his audience from ever trying psychedelic's, and he is making a buffoonery of non-duality with his antics.

In the eyes of ultimate truth, what's real and what's illusory is irrelevant, an endless debate not worth engaging in. You have a body, this fact can look both real and fake depends on how you look at it, the only truth is that you are aware of it, and thats it.

When you identify yourself as source, you realize that you were never born because you have always existed. As source is the ultimate truth, everything else is a lie. If you identify yourself as your human ego construct, you cant grasp this directly.

You are looking at reincarnation the wrong way. Reincarnation is happening all around you, every thing that exists is god manifesting itself into form. God is manifesting into and through you, through me, through all rocks, ants and leaves. Your soul is no different than my soul, we share the same soul. Every human and animal that has lived, lives and will live, its just one singular soul, reincarnating infinitely.

Most experiences alter baseline consciousness in different magnitudes. A night of videogames wont do that much but a bungee jump, or fire burning your home, or a breakup, or a trip to the moon will. My first ayahuasca session changed me, even if I cannot hold that "high", my baseline consciousness is definitely higher than before.

Why do novelists write horror or drama? Imagine asking them "why dont you write only romance novels with happy endings?" Out of infinite possibilities, the reality we live right now just happens to be a reality where survival is the main gameplay mechanic.

Imagine you are playing skyrim and you have a bunch of characters and you decide to delete someone. The character's consciousness was you, the human playing the game, the other characters will wonder where their buddy went because by design they cannot comprehend the paradox.

There is no need to speculate, there is plenty of documentation online relating to animals getting high with psychedelic substances. Some dogs just chill and gaze at nothing, other dogs get the zoomies, there is a lot of confusion and vomiting involved. I know dolphins love getting high, cats love their catnip, octopuses turn more social.

Don't get too lost in semantics. You can call it it divine, holiness, infinite, oneness, god.. its the same picture, just different words.
