  1. My ways of generating passive income: Index investing and reselling website hosting. And another thing to do is lowering your expenses as much as possible, so you don't need so much passive income in the first place. Live as minimalist as possible, like a monk, something that most people here aspire to anyway .
  2. @Solace man, how times change so quickly. When I was 4, I played Super Mario Bros 3 on a NES. Which was awesome, but I can see that something like Kingdom Hearts can have a lot more impact on a 4 year old.
  3. @Ibn Sina Haha awesome. I can see on another video that Dr Phil invited Deepak Chopra on the show. I used to watch Dr Phil a lot, learned a lot from him, but in some cases he can be very dogmatic as well. Definitely gonna watch that episode!
  4. Being either fully immersed in what i'm doing, or acting fully from the observers' view.
  5. This. Can the ego be good? Sure, if you believe it to be so. It's the same as asking can green be a nice color?
  6. I always believed that no one else really existed but me, and they we're only there to make me believe otherwise.
  7. Yes, I'm very curious about all the experiences other people have had, and I like to experience them for myself. I've already tried 300mcg AL-LAD, but not much happened, compared to others on lower dosages. I think it might have been unpure.
  8. Why not just rise above the care whether you have friends or not, and watch life unfold with or without them
  9. Trip report: I did it only for 20 minutes, because my hands were starting to feel very weird. The 20 minutes after, I was in a state of pure bliss. I think kind of like what feeling "high" must be, even though I never have been high with drugs like weed or something else. Right now I'm thinking I want to do this every day, because it felt great! Is it in any way addictive?
  10. Why would he? And if he does, he could start his own business, and follow his LP, which has nothing to do with teaching. Kind of like what I'm doing.
  11. I think universal basic income. After that, moneyless society.
  12. https://www.ted.com/talks/paul_tasner_how_i_became_an_entrepreneur_at_66 You're never too old for anything. The best time to start is always now.
  13. Did anyone notice that the dreams where you know you're dreaming are the best?
  14. @Shin ahh NoFap, actually that's where I began my self-improvement and spiritual journey, about 8 years ago. All desires exists to keep you from discovering the truth.
  15. I simply cannot fathom anymore why people would argue over someone else's definition of a word, or defending it with their life. This is a feature of enlightenment stage 8 by the way.
  16. @Joseph Maynor I wanted to be enlightened real bad. Now I want to be super-enlightened, like being aware of the truth 24/7, not 10 minutes a day, like it's now. On the other hand, I don't want it bad enough. I don't really want to do long meditation sessions anymore, I just want to live my life. I don't really care about it I think. I don't care if I ever get to be super-zen and I don't care if my body would die tomorrow. I'm fine with whatever life throws my way and seeing how everything unfolds. Maybe not caring about anything at all is the biggest goal to attain here. I'm pretty far on that journey.
  17. @Driven62 this video helped me a lot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZm4B4foybM&t=5s Also, make a list of things you fear. Rate them from 1 to 10, where 10 is what you fear most. Now start doing the thing you fear the least. Each fear you overcome empowers you. Work your way up this way. Take your time, don't rush it. If the thing you fear the least is still too scary, then do only a small part of it, even if it sounds ridiculous. For example, if you fear driving a car, then just go sit in it and fasten your seatbelt, sit for a minute and step out again, not even starting the car. That's it. The next day you take it one step further.
  18. March 2015, when I was on a vacation, and I read the power of now for the first time. After reading for a while, I laid down the book and just ignored any thought that involved past or future. So much peace.
  19. @Psyche_92 very good! This one is for you:
  20. @saish the mind is always seeking the 'best'. More important is that you just do it. If the mind comes up with arguments that your meditation practice is not effective, and you should try something else, then observe that thought. And let it pass. Or label it with something like 'mind-meditation-meta-chatter'
  21. @Joseph Maynor the ego is just a concept? Do you mean how much time you're absorbed in thought after enlightenment?
  22. @doucey24 you fear that after enlightenment you will lose progress. You might. You will lose the desire to make progress, but also the fear of not making progress. Whether you still make progress in any field after enlightenment is completely up to you, you simply won't cling to it anymore.
