@Hero of Time you seem to be in a very interesting position. You're obviously extremely open minded as you've processed some of Leo'd videos and shattered your blue paradigm. That in itself is life changing! But let's try to understand why the stages are like they are, and how that applies to you individually. Orange is the ego backlash to stage blue. Orange is denying spirituality all together, and materialism becomes the new religion. Science is only conducted from the materialist paradigm/metaphysics. See, I don't get the impression you could buy into that. As a SOCIETY we had to evolve that way (and we'll be moving fully into green soon), but for you specifically, considering your knowledge and resources (Leo and others), you're not materialist. Buying into Orange on the spiritual line of development would probably be regression. You see, spiral dynamics can be applied to many lines of development, and it's normal to be at different stages in different areas. For spirituality, as you seem to be a spiritual person, you should look to green. Actually, green is pretty close to blue on the spiritual side, cause remember that the pendulum swings back from orange to community-centered. The major shift you need to make is to change your understanding of God from external (blue) to internal (green+). Shift your focus from prayer to personal development. Shift your focus from a relationship with an external God to your relationship with yourself and others (also you). All that being said, there's nothing wrong with science, it's fantastic. But I think you realize there's a lot more to life than that. Cultivate the proper perspective, and see that to orange, science is a religion. The major problem with ANY stage in tier 1 is that they're not aware of their own limits. Practice humility and acceptance of all walks of life, and that will get you far.

@Nahm there's nothing ominous about it, it's funny more than anything! -

@Aaron p Isn't it obvious? When you start getting to these levels of synchronicity (trust me, I'm there as well), there can really only be one explanation. Perhaps it's too radical to accept yet, but you'll get there -

That's a mature decision, listen to your intuition. Entheogens are extremely powerful tools, and they'll always be there later. I was just pointing out to be careful of holding an ideology (that blocks you from direct experience). You fundamentally can't trust anything that anyone says, so it's untenable to judge things before you've tried them. As someone who has considerable experience with natural and synthetic entheogens, I've actually had my best experiences with "synthetic" substances. They are equally potent tools, and there's no reason whatsoever to believe that one is better than the other. Is it not all fundamentally natural? A better question is what isn't natural? I'm not saying I'm "right" and I'm not saying Ms. Swan is "right," that's completely irrelevant. Just to be wary of an opinion or feeling potentially cutting you off from spiritual growth avenues entirely. -
Wanna know why you feel stuck? Because you know that you fundamentally can't find happiness out THERE in the world, and yet you're insisting on relying on others to guide you and do the work for you. "If only I get the help and support I need, I'll make it." You understand deep down that this is a dead-end street, and that's why you're depressed, with seemingly no hope. This is all self-inflicted, and yes, that's a bitter pill. At some point, you're going to have to admit that no one else has the ability to set you straight. Not that they won't, or that they're lazy and selfish, but that they CAN'T. You couldn't pay someone else enough money to do it, because it's not actually possible! You have to admit that you have deep systemic psychological issues, and no matter how much outside "help" you attain (mere baindaids), you will remain wounded until you fix your issues from the inside out. It's imperative that you take full 100% responsibility for you life during this stage. There can't even be a slight whiff of victim mentality if you're to become your greatest version. Now, if you want specific guidance on how to do this, then you're at the right place (I have a hunch you know what you should be doing though). You're just going to have to be proactive and specific, leading with purpose. If you decide that you want a better life, then the universe will be absolutely certain in giving that.

It's an ideology if you hold an opinion without having any direct experience of it. Be careful here... -
The healthy manifestations of higher stages have incorporated and included the healthy aspects of the lower ones. So in the distant future, what's currently known as stage blue will not exist in large groups. The after that orange won't exist, and so on. It'll just be a more holistic understanding, cause the higher stages never forgot the lower ones

TheAvatarState replied to Roman25's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It matters to Roman. I thought it would be more helpful to ask, instead of telling him exactly why he's unhappy with the site. That kind of lecturing usually falls on deaf ears. I mean, if he's gonna leave he's gonna leave, I personally couldn't give less of a shit. I think he's been exposed to enough new perspectives to be helpful moving forward as it is. Even though he can't see it -

Day 16: Energy: 2 Awareness: 3 Sexual thoughts/urges: 3 Self-esteem: 3 Social confidence: 3 Didn't get much sleep. Feel REALLY fucking down in the dumps. Fuck this whole thing! (not really, that's just the mind state I'm at right now. Shit is difficult).

The weird part is realizing that your previous indoctrinated beliefs were actually the weird ones... lol. There's nothing weird about this stuff, it's actually so amazingly simple that it's a complete mindfuck and you can barely grasp it... cause there's nothing to latch onto. -
I think there's a mixture of red-green on every platform because you can tailor your "feed" to your liking. I'd say YouTube has the highest potential for high-consciousness content, but the "average" is just as low consciousness as the rest.

@Igor82 wow, thank you for opening up to me like that. I really do care about you, and I want you to succeed in your journey! ❤️ Perspective is everything. The situations themselves, you cannot change them IN THAT MOMENT. Not even 1%... However, the way you move forward is based on your perspective and limiting beliefs, so those are everything. Everything boils down to inner game. It would be wise not to underestimate how powerful this knowledge can be if actualized.
-
@Igor82 if that works for you, then great! Just suggesting things that might be helpful. While watching porn itself isn't a relapse, be extremely careful of doing that. It'll make you crave PMO like 10 times harder within the next few days. You're really just shooting yourself in the foot when you do that. Don't kid yourself it's the "P" in the "PMO," so it's like a mini relapse in itself, setting you up for failure.

@Tony 845 this is the trouble of trying to label someone else or yourself enlightened. There are many different levels of awakening, and how can you be certain that ego didn't come into the equation of anyone else's assessment? In my opinion, It's a meaningless label that causes more confusion than if it wasn't applied. -

@Igor82 yeah I've learned through a lot of trial and error that drugs of any kind, even consciousness-raising psychedelics can trigger this. This might seem really weird, but yeah. Take a break from all of that shit until you complete your challenge. Or lower your challenge standards, I think 180 days could be too big of a goal for your ego mind to grasp, causing you to easily be able to convince yourself it isn't "really" achievable. You have to be able to listen to your body and adjust stuff accordingly. Also never beat yourself up about relapsing. You're not immediately starting from ground zero, you just had a 10 day streak! Being able to recover quickly and apply self-love and higher-perspectives can help keep your momentum in the right direction.

We know you love to hear yourself talk
-
If any of you are thinking, "But Leooooo, you bash Sam Harris and Jordan Peterson all the time in your talks! Does that make you a hypocrite?" then try to understand that he never goes out of his way to bash other teachers, it is only to prove a point related to his topic, and to help inoculate you from ideology. If you look at it honestly, Leo has never shut a post down merely for being critical of his work.

I read your question again. Being egoic/selfish is actually encouraged by society. It's a system designed to produce unconsciousness. In your second paragraph, the man who thinks horrible thoughts is perceived as good by society, but is actually unknowingly spreading horrible energies to other people. A person's state is contagious, so that man is doing great harm in his community. But unbeknownst to ANYONE in the community! Does that make him bad? Who are you to judge someone for something they weren't ultimately responsible for? What about the rapist, terrorist, or murderer? Do you think he just love raping people from the get go?Or do you think certain events, brainwashing, and a terrible childhood inevitably led them to the act? I am, and I'm moving more and more into that every day. It's not easy, and it sure seems really counter-intuitive. But this is true growth and understanding. I'm not making a claim that "I'm more enlightened than you" and I'm certainly not enlightened! This is simply taking on radical new perspectives with the same sincerity as my own, and finding there was Truth to be found, and no fundamental difference. You cannot be unconditionally loving while making a distinction between good and bad out there in the world... It's just not possible. We are all simultaneously God and the Devil, so to speak. What we do does not make us one or the other. We are all capable of great good and great evil. You might be wondering if that leaves us in a groundless position, and if we should do anything good! A relative sense of good and bad is a must, but you can never impose it or judge others on it. The sense of good and bad being out there to live up to was a religious idea, and holds no water. In fact, that line of thinking has led to much war and violence. General sense of good and bad is something that's created collectively over time as society moves up the spiral. If there's any answer to be given, it is to love, to connect, to raise consciousness (as that's where we're moving towards on the spiral, not because we have to, just because forces are leading us. You can't judge the forces as good, it's just a recognition and observation of where we're going). The highest form of love requires the complete dismantling of the notion of good and evil. That's all I'm pointing to. I'm really not trying to argue with you, just wanted to clear up my points.
