Out of the box thinking. Wish I could also think inside the box, so I could genuinely understand general audience and not just accept their behavior

I have been developing gratitude for about 2 years for now. Its at a point where it just happens automatically. When I walk into the rain/cold, I feel grateful that there is high quality modern clothing to help me staying comfortable When Im out of food, I feel grateful that I live inside a society that is capable to server food and drink for me to eat and feel comfortable and for me to be healthy When Im home alone not doing anything and I reflect back to my army days, its easy to be grateful that I dont need to do favors for others so that we could inefficiently stay alive in the forest living in damp tents because I have enough money which makes it possible for me to live freely, for me to develop and to thrive. As long as I have money. So, Im pretty grateful in the term's most basic sense. But ever since pondering on this question, I cant help but feel that ego-centered gratefulness cant be good for you. Basically, those three examples I just gave can be boiled down to my ego thriving and surviving. Now when I think of the fact that industrialization, modern farming and medicine and has given me, a westener really easy life where Im almost guaranteed to die from old age and never starve, I cant help but think about Africa where modern medicine, food-aid and industrial resource grabbing has created overpopulation which cannot be sustained by the continents own food and cloth industry so we send food and cloth-aid for them to eat and wear, effectively killing off their own industry so that they stay dependent on the western and asian aid. So the things Im grateful for are things that are causing immense suffering for the 233 million of people suffering from undernourishment in a continent which is kept on a poverty-loop and Im grateful for those said things because they bring me gratitude The only thing I be proud to be grateful for now is the fact that I can think about what I should be grateful for. Wait, I? Fuck!

Yeah. I guess what Leo said in one of his emotion video; "Fuck natural, what is natural is shit" (context was emotion control) apply in this too. Thought I will be more mindful on whether my gratitude comes from ego-perspective or from somewhere else -
Underappreciated post! Sums up perfectly the problem with many men who are seeking a girl only to fill a hole in their lives.

Lets say your life purpose is to somehow change the world. You work 8 hours a day, meditate for an hour and spend 2 hours a day developing yourself. Isn't that 61 hours a week working towards changing the world, considering you don't do your day to day work at weekends? Even more, if you use your free weekend's to work on yourself?

I dont think capitalism is created to be unfair. The problem is that when you have a system that rewards people for hard work, then the standards for even the simpliest jobs become much higher. Nowdays to get a high quality job, you either need to have a high intrinsic motivation naturally, do a lot of hard work or have a good social network in the field. Good genes are not fair for the hard worker, hard work is not fair for the general people who prefer social interaction over a life of constant work and stress and a social network in the field is not fair for anyone. 30 years ago (where I live) if you finished an education that qualified you for a job, it was very likely that the local companies would find out about it and call you to get you hired. Nowadays what you need is education, hobbies in the same field as the job you are applying for and 5 years of experience on the field. High social intelligence and network of people are huge boosters but not an absolute necessity. I like to think that in a hunter gatherer society, what is talked about after a day of hunt is who caught the boar and how they caught it. And in our modern society, the evening goes just like how it goes in the TV reality show Survivor.

There is plenty of women just waiting for a man like you to buy them airplane tickets and be your wife. Its only like 2 weeks salary, and it might be that only their sex exceeds the standards you hold for your dream partner, but hey! If you think manhood is everything you should need then I think its fair trade. Manhood for womanhood, nothing more nothing less.

Light travels faster than sound so its only natural you saw the thunder strike before you heard it But did you notice the shape, colors, lenght and width of the thunder? Did you notice little branches separating from the main body of the thunder strike? Did you notice where it hit, or did you notice how it went somewhere you dont see? Did you notice your thought how it went somewhere you dont see, but in your mind you know it did go somewhere? Did you notice how the loud bang that hit your ear, how it crackled and how its volume fluctuated? Did it hit hard and fall flat, or did it build up, peak in the middle and fade towards the end? Was it high pitched? Was it low pitched? Was there multiple sounds clashing? Did you notice how the crackle came from nothingness and faded to nothingness? Can you still vividly imagine that sight and sound in your mind when you think about that thunder strike? -
As someone who has been developing mainly social skills for the past 4 years, i'd say that the most important techniques are: -Conscious practice -Constant body awaraness in yourself and others -Conscious practice -Sweet and rhetorical words (Level of manipulation that can be compared to a so called "white lie") -Practice of assertiveness -Did I mention conscious practice? I'd say that my biggest gains have come from awareness and body language reading skills, understanding motives and personalities and most of all from the practise of assertiveness. Of these few selected, obtaining even a little bit of assertiveness has given me the fastest results, but being aware during social situations has given me the most long lasting results Edit: As for results I cant pinpoint any single one. Except for the "What everyBODY talks about" which is a book about body language. And well, maybe the "How to talk to anyone, 92 little tricks" I'd go as far as to say that the social skills books have given me less help regarding socials skills than say, the Neil Strauss books. The advice in many social skills books are in my opinion, rather impractical and most of my gains have come from books like The Truth by Neil Strauss, which have given me perspective into people's lives rather than a tool that is very impractical to hone and practise in real life situation

Be like an autist. Manipulation is a part of human psychology. To give it up means pretty much giving up social life. Unless you enjoy talking with dead serious autists

A game where ego shoots dots of procrastination at you, and you have to dodge them. 30 in-game days would take 10 minutes to complete, and grant 1 point. After 60 in-game days and 2 points, you have to battle a boss, ego brain with a big middlefinger shooting walls of procrastination, social life and drugs. If you hit any of those obstacles, you lose 40 days of your progress. And you can't win

Could you tell more about this?

I dont see how enlightenment -be it as powerful as you want- could help someone understand things like the illogical horseshit called social interactions. I mean I see that it could make you foresee how idiotic it is to learn a skill that is necessary only because the whole human race cant think as simply as Brad Blanton would like, but it won't automatically make you learn the most retarded, and at the same time most important skill of the modern day. Expect if enlightenment gives you intrinsict motivation, then it would be the answer to every problem a human can have. But not overnight, you'd still have to study

Lack of big picture. Gym becomes a chore to check off your daily goals-list so people drop it off. Also getting bummed out for lack of results they expect to get from working out at acceptable pace Or could be that the person just found out that working out is not part of their higher values and goals, so they drop it. I think the biggest reason is that people forget why they go to gym, forget the big picture

Neil Strausses book "the truth" It delves deep into polamory. Amazing book

Great answer! I suppose my view is narrow on the subject as its mostly based on twitterSJW ramblings, my own assumptions and anti-sjw filth I have been consuming on 4chan for years, and the only tomboy I know doesen't give two dimes on the whole gender thing But I do see the value of different gender terms if they are used to help explain difficult questions or feelings to certain people Thanks!

"If you hate a man today, why would you hate a man tomorrow?" -Sadhguru For whatever reason this quote has helped me to give up any hate to any individual human however strong. Nowdays I just cant hold a grudge against anyone no matter how they have wronged me, unless im really drunk

And the same for so many. Im not saying that this is how I feel, but in my observation the problem with multiple genders in the "anti-multiple gender" group of people always boil down to sexual organs. In my opinion its fools errand to try and mainstream the 50 or so new terms as "genders" if so many people recognize gender as a set of sexual organs. Much less foolish would be to create a new term number 51 that would classify the new terms into one group such as the previously mentioned "gendertype" so this battle of terms could finally have a conclusion and we could focus more on important things, like what flavored chips we can create next

Term gender in animal world means what kind of reproductive organs an animal has. Three I know so far, male, female and hermaphrodite. Why in the human world there is an attempt to push through the idea that the term "gender" means reproductive organs combined with personality? Talking about terms like "genderfluid" as genders just go against the grain of human individuals who view gender in the black and white. Isn't anyone seeing how fucked up it is that for years we have had two set of people debating on this question, but neither side even tries to understands what the other side means with the term "gender"? This whole mess could be solved with something like the following: Gender: Male/Female/Transgender Gendertype: Male/Female/Transsexual/CISgender(ALIAS=soyboy)/Genderfluid/whateveryouidentifyas If not, why not?

Speak with a homosexual about homosexuality, their daily lives of living together in a male-male relationship and compare what you hear to your experiences with females. If you are not sure after that then try it out. Im on the phase of trying it out, and if I get a chance then why the hell not. Its not like I know whether I am gay or not until I fuck a guy and live with one to know what its like

I love you Sensei, you are my god! I want to feel...

@LaraGreenbridge Exactly this. I think "stop caring about what other people think" is a bastard version of attaining high social awareness and then pushing aside the bullshit that people feed you, while taking in and nurturing their genuine feelings and wants. The bastard version wouldn't make much justice to the latter idea Going through life without attaining or caring about social awareness would be stupid unless you were that said hermit.

Natural born none-fuck-givers are really effective at pushing people away from themselves Im speaking of experience. My self-improvement journey literally began from this realization "Im a fucking asshole! I need to give a fuck!" Today, im re-learning how to give less fucks, but starting to give a fuck was absolutely essential for my growth in the early days somewhat 7-8 years ago.

Never really had hallucinations (thought I was able to make objects like clocks on walls disappear from my vision if I concentrated for a minute or two) but something that happened to me at age of maybe 11 or 12, that I saw the Poltergeist movie girl in a screamer video on the internet, and for a year almost every night when I went to sleep the girls mutilated face would appear into my vision in the darkness. Many nights I went to sleep rolling my eyes, because that was the only way I could get rid of the bitch. I didnt experience anything like that for over ten years until a few months ago when I went to sleep, and I began to see different kind of pictures in front of my eyes. Like I saw a picture of a beach in front of my eyes, but at the same time I knew I was laying in my bed, but at the same time I was at that beach. I could swallow and or move my fingers and they wouldnt affect the image or feeling of standing at a beach in any way. I can still do this some nights when I really concentrate on conjuring those pictures, but quirk here is that if I stay for too long in a particular picture it begins to turn into a horror one, which is the reason why I have been a little reluctant to stare or practise watching those pictures, even thought they can be facinating to look and feel. Thing is, I dont want that shit to leak into my regular world and conjure some kind of bleeding skull into my vision while learning Algebra at school. Does anyone know what the hell this is? Im not active dreamer so I dont think its lucid dreaming -
Trump is a living proof that majority of people in all socities and classes think of themselves being "better" than another human being. What I find scary is that people who understand about consciousness, understand about unconditional love and are educating themselves to becoming loving of all beings somehow think that Trump's destructive ego makes them better people than Trump. What is unconditional love if not accepting of ones unconsciousness? Its not like calling someone Hitler would help them becoming more conscious, would it? Im not saying that somehow I love every human equally, but im doing great deal of work to find my way accepting everyone as they are. To not chastize them for their low-consciousness, to not make demons of their misinformated opinions. To "unconditionally" love them.
