  1. What? no... he said he had first experience much later... Dont put him on a pedestal... he worked for his enlightenment too "Aged thirteen, Yasudev took yoga lessons from Malladihalli Raghavendra, and kept practicing asanas and pranayama[14] daily throughout his youth, albeit without spiritual aspirations.[15] At the age of 25, on 23 September 1982, he went up Chamundi Hill and sat on a rock, where he had a 'spiritual experience'."
  2. yes; i posted it about a week ago in the contemplation playlist thread, its a funky jam!
  3. As if "real" isnt arbitrary. Reality can be as weird as it wants to be. I dont think transgender is weird though. Because gender has nothing to do with nature. Its something we made up. In the 1800s small boys wore dresses. https://medium.com/@NewAgeNews/why-is-president-franklin-d-roosevelt-wearing-a-dress-83fba3549523 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breeching_(boys) Its completely arbitrary depending on culture and time.
  4. centrist softies go full green, become an anarchist
  5. You say Science relies too much on logic and rationality, isnt religion also relying on logic albeit hyper-moralistic religious logic? Isnt logic relative to what stage of development you are? Blue logic might be "The universe didnt come from nothing, thats illogical!" Orange logic: "You have never seen God therefore its on you to prove his existence" Green logic: "Polluting the oceans will cause suffering for our future children" talk about logic and rationality basically
  6. This whole movie is a great study in Spiral Dynamics
  7. So Russell Brand now knows about Spiral Dynamics...
  8. How the hell am I supposed to take part in Illuminati groups??? Is there a place to sign up???
  9. Im a guy, I fell in love the first time when I was about 4 years old, I have vivid memories of my first girlfriend and holding hands. I have a gay brother too, he said he always knew, there was no "discovery". Just like there is no discovery when youre straight. Whatever you think of raising kids is up to the parents, as long as theyre not hurting the child. You could equally say that forcing a gay/trans-child to be cis or straight is abusive, read up on gender dysphoria, its seriously damaging.
  10. No, he obviously is drawn to it, noones forcing him. Maybe he will grow out of it, maybe he wont, as long as the kid is happy.
  11. Some half-truth mixed with alot of non-sense.
  12. Taken in the right context I can see why he would say that. If you were poor in the 1800s life was shit.
  13. Wait... Are you for masks or against them? This is ridiculously far-fetched btw. By that logic plague doctors were slaves too.
  14. the mind is a tool, a tool we use everyday but dont know how to
  15. Observe the mind making excuses to move or to quit and stand up. Oh and I forget, set a timer for an hour, easy mode: Keep the timer in your visual field. Hard mode: Keep the timer hidden until the alarm goes off. Btw, Its okay to swallow, sneeze and stuff like that. Just dont move your neck or body. And you can open your eyes if you get sleepy, to go back and forth between open-eye meditation and closed is okay. Id suggest starting with 10 minutes, I could barely hack it the first time I tried. Try 10 minutes then 30 then 1 hour.
  16. Strong Determination Sitting 1 hour of not moving a muscle while sitting upright on chair. Youll be massively conscious and calm after this, believe me, and youll get insights into how restless the ego really is.
  17. Im not afraid of conspiracy theories, its very to easy to debunk them, but the problem is theyre so many of them, and some of them are so damn vague that its impossible to debunk. Take for example, flat earth, is it possible... probably not... Am i gonna waste 100s of hours debunking that shit? Hell no. Whats the point. In 50 years we will all be able to privately fly into space and then the problem will be solved, then there will be some new conspiracy theory about something else. Going through all this trouble to create a boogeyman also reeks of fear.
