  1. You are both the universe and the ego. Yin-Yang. I guess it can be weird, but you are still your ego in society.
  2. Maybe I am not. but I've had awakening experiences and they're not like what you describe, but I've also had times where everything felt "meaningless", but its a hump you get passed and you gain a better understanding of reality again.
  3. Your grounding is Being. Nothing else to it. you are trying to grasp on to concepts when you should be grasping or having faith in the Universe by letting go. At times when consciousness work became rough "Dark side of meditation" stuff, I relax in bed, put on my favorite comedy shows, and just chill. You gotta be careful with trying to think your way into enlightenment or just conceptualizing and taking what enlightened people are saying as belief. Its an experience, or rather a revealing of nature itself, without thoughts. It's pure consciousness elevation.
  4. What I mean by Elevating your consciousness is getting a clearer picture of reality. Wiping the mud from the pond you're looking into and realize you are staring at yourself. You are acting like Life isn't Life! It's not just a "field"! Are you practicing meditation on a daily basis? You want to shut your brain off to stop trying to conceptualize life. You want to just Be. Life is magnificent, brilliant, infinite depth, endless, creative, amusing, intelligent, and more. Have you tried a psychedelic?
  5. you are the Self/Universe/Reality disguised as a person. You are choosing NOT to embrace what reality is by denying your ego. Transcending the ego is still important to realize the Truest Self, but the life and the play must go on. Why do you think Leo or Sadhguru or Alan Watts or Jim Carrey still play their ego part? It's still real in one way.
  6. Elevate your consciousness and stop repressing your feelings. The people in those videos are being dramatic. Duality does exist... within non-duality.
  7. You don't sound enlightened. And I'm not sure you're getting it. Being doesn't feel anything like that to me. How long have you been doing this? What are your practices to elevate consciousness? Are you feeling with your heart? it can't be just the mind, its gotta be wholesome.
  8. looking forward to it!
  9. Could easily take a month or two or even six depending on your schedule and the level of information needed to answer your questions. 1. If you are interested in books, some good sources are: Foods of the Gods by Terence McKenna Psychedelic Medicines (Literally scientists speaking about their research in the psychedelic field). I forget the authors name. The Psychedelic Explorer's Guide by James Fadiman The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley My Problem Child by Albert Hoffman 2. If you are interested in youtube videos or lectures, check out: Terence McKenna (Highly recommend) Alan Watts (briefly speaks about his experiences with LSD) Timothy Leary PsychedSubstance 3. If you are interested in an Free online resource: https://erowid.org <--- The best place to find trip reports, effects, articles, books, and much more. ----------------------------------- There's so much information out there. It's going to take you a while. Edit: Once I knew mushrooms and LSD were not addictive and physiologically safe, I tried them. so my research took me a week. After I tried them though, I ended up doing a lot more research because they are fascinating ?
  10. I believe psilocybin cubensis is the golden teachers. I recommend those. Although all of those would probably be great.
  11. Not true at all. When you kill the ego, what you are really doing is actually expanding your sense of self, but to the point where you can't actually distinctively identity yourself, hence why you killed yourself.
  12. I agree with others. I think Leo is just very serious about this work. But I saw someone post here and say that they missed watching a movie with their mom and sister. I think that everyone here is at different stages of their lives and then on top of that in their personal development. If you're devoting intense time to meditation and contemplation 3-5 days a week, and meditating at least 20 minutes everyday, I do not see anything wrong with watching a movie with family. Hanging out with people can seriously make you grow.
  13. It's very difficult. in my experience. I've tried a couple of times throughout the summer, but I am just reaching a point where I am realizing that it doesn't matter.
  14. You're assuming there is an external world to yourself. the whole universe is not under a set of laws.
  15. very true. That's right. I forgot about that. Pretty unacceptable for someone who should be an outstanding person as the President.
  16. well what speech is bad is dependent on the audience. Trump is the president of the United States, not the owner of a VFW. Can you imagine of Obama, George bush, or Clinton was accused of sexual assault by 10+ females? or even said half of the stuff he did. That shit wouldn't fly... Perhaps Trump is a wizard.
  17. People here aren't saying its a crime. Something doesn't have to be a crime to be "wrong". It's a not a crime for me to give the finger at people, but its certainly not going to make me any friends or civil conversations happen. People in America dislike/hate trump because he has a track record of saying stupid offensive shit, but then on top of that, he has a shady business past, and has been accused of sexual assault by multiple woman. Not even mentioning the Russian investigation. I can see why people like him and I can see why people don't like him.
  18. God is not a person the way you think. God is not in your mind. God is everything including your mind. Look at existence as God. Consider the idea that everything has one source. Where it does all exist in? Consciousness/God/Awareness. I would imagine higher self is like the ultimate/best version of yourself. Perhaps thats what people mean by angels since they always took a humanoid form and norm. God does speak to us but not the way you think. It's very nuanced and no words are usually exchanged, its like a pure transfer of knowledge. Edit: I feel like you're getting close. But you're an underestimating God's infinite nature. Your mind will try to box God and fail over and over. God is bigger than any idea. One can only connect through Being/Surrendering
  19. Downsides are getting attached to them, abusing them, or having a severe mental disorder like schizophrenia which usually stems from a quality in the individual not psychedelics themselves. Otherwise, I do not see how they would effect awakening experiences in a negative way. possibly. But do we really know this to be true? why not and how do they know? I have gotten insights from psychedelics that I later read in "The Power of Now" WITHOUT any help from eastern literature. - how does this person know these things? He speaks confidently of Sadhguru's level of consciousness and Leo's level of consciousness. My point is, be careful assuming stuff about people and about psychedelics. You can try to box psychedelics and people with ideas, but chances are you are missing a perspective that really allows you to get a wholesome understanding.
  20. "Eat Whole Foods, Mostly plants, Not too much." Also make sure you get your food from good sources.
  21. Because college will challenge your character and gives you many opportunities to grow as a person emotionally and professionally. College is more than just majoring in a particular subject, while you will grow in that understanding of that subject, the demands of college will also provide benefits. I frankly agree with Leo, going to college is a great decision, but I am biased, I went to college. It's also a great way to get into "cutting-edge" ideas, meet new people, grasp where everyone is working from in the social stratosphere.
  22. haha thought someone would eventually post this.
  23. 1. I listen to all music, but my favorite kind is Rock and Hip Hop. I particularly love 60s rock music. 2. I am a guitarist. I can play a little bit of drums and I make some simple melodies and play chords on the piano. 3. I see music as very separate from self-actualization. But I definitely see music as having a transcendent quality especially while playing. I definitely think music has a powerful effect on "identity, personality, emotions, mood, outlook, and mindset." It's a two way street tho. A person can enjoy a particular music because that energy is already within them, but vice versa can also happen. Music to me is a personal experience, it also a super engaging activity that can be done alone or with others. I think it helps develop a sense of time and sound. I guess what I love about it is how transcendent I feel when I play, I forget myself, and I almost feel like I'm healing myself by playing my feelings out. It's totally strange. I play my guitar every time I trip on LSD or mushrooms for pretty much a good 2 hours and I've had absolutely wonderful experiences. Music is energy and it speaks to us a different way language, it engages with our soul and does not discriminate. Even animals will enjoy music. It's an absolutely wonderful medium.
