Yeah I wouldn't recommend 5-meo for a first timer. that's some serious shit. Hell I'd say I am a somewhat experienced tripper and would not do 5-meo possibly without a trip sitter after seeing some videos on it.

If it makes you feel any better. I am nervous before all of my trips, I've had many fears of ending up going crazy running in my head, play out bad scenarios of what could go wrong. What ends up happening is: 1. The fear melts away. Tripping takes me into a peaceful place after the initial hump and I am recognize how dramatic and over the top my fears are. 2. It NEVER turns out how you imagine it be. There's a story behind this one. One time, me and a friend were doing 3 drops, I was nervous as heck because it was the strongest dose I'd done and I imagined all these bad scenarios. In the end, it ended up being perfectly fine, helpful, memorable experience. In general, you just want a strong trust in yourself that no matter what, you don't do something dumb like call 911 or anything impulsive, you're going to wait until you ride the whole thing. So you've gotta commit completely. If you get weird thoughts, let them run its course, don't hold on to them, if they bother that much, write it down or don't, but tell yourself you'll address it when your sober or a clearer state of mind. -
that's very true. In Leo's case, he claims to read slow-moderate pace, taking moments to contemplate whats being said in the book, and taking notes which is an optimal way to ingest books. I believe him given the depth of his videos.

Loved the quotes! especially the Bruce Lee ones. As its stated in spiral dynamics, all stages have their pros and cons, I think moving past orange is not abandoning everything about orange, but kind of upgrading it from a higher consciousness perspective. same with green and so on.

I tried them when I was 19, am about to turn 24 this month. They require a lot of experience in order to learn what is best for you. I learn deeply from high doses, almost like my whole understanding is being arranged unconsciously without needing logical propositions. Low-doses are much better if one is going to contemplate with thoughts. Just have to keep experimenting, carefully, and slowly. Technically, brains become fully developed at around 25-26, so I have already broken this rule and I feel fine. I do not believe they are harmful physically, the only thing I'd be worried about is maturity level. I agree with Leo, one definitely needs maturity and a level of grounded-ness, trust in oneself. It turns you inside out and when that happens, you better be ready to not act impulsively - which unfortunately teenagers struggle with due to the lack of development in the frontal lobe. -
Leo bro, you rock! You got some haters and I don't blindly ignore them, I read most of their content when its posted on this forum, and they got it all wrong man. They're too close-minded, they misunderstand you, all kinds of silly mistakes. You are doing great work and you have made a great impact on my life. I've showed everyone close to me your videos. I think you are an intelligent well-read man and I appreciate that about you. Anyways, words won't explain the joy I've received from watching your videos or the influence you've brought to my approach to life, learning, and psychology.

Scientifically speaking, there are no studies that has determined how multiple responsible psychedelic trips can effect the brain of a growing adolescent. I think 18 years old is a good age to start experimenting, but as Leo said. -

when you do it, it feels real and you know its real. Sometimes an LSD experience can feel more real than the sober experience. Think of its effects as having the ability to raise your 'consciousness' and you just recognize that reality is there its just a different angle. The brain's default system gets re-arranged for several hours. -
I feel you man! reading books are great. So much knowledge out there one can apply and transform one's life.

Very dramatic and exaggerated. And when they question Leo's credentials, I think about this picture : I'll be honest, I do not know much about about mathematics or physics, I pursued the Psychology field, but Leo does back himself up with quotes and has read books like: Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid - which is a serious Math book. I certainly don't see them arguing against his points? instead they attack his character with exaggerated claims. Leo on multiple occasions has said that Absolute Infinity and his idea of God is in congruence with Abrahamic God and Brahman too. A lot in there, but so much misunderstanding. Anyways, I guess you gotta expect some haters?

There's plenty of skills that can be learned without a degree. (carpentry, plumbing, etc) In addition, you can probably come back and teach meditation, yoga, provide spiritual guidance privately. Spend some time brainstorming.

It is helpful to personal growth. It actually really depends on your intention on what you get out of it. My self-esteem and confidence grew exponentially just from my first trip. Is it necessary? Necessary is a strong word, it is totally possible to grow without them, but psychedelics will help you grow and mature much faster than probably anything out there. -

You can't expect to take a psychedelic and not expect change. And with that can come confusion, doubt, and uncertainty, but its the process of growth. Edit: I have had low moods after a psychedelic for a bit, often because the psychedelic gave me a lot to ponder about; but I have also had high moods after a psychedelic. However it never turned into depression. I say maybe just wait till your on vacation possibly. -
It's possible, but on mushrooms, I saw the idea of myself and life in a whole new light. I couldn't even write it off as "woo woo". It was too real.

A mystical experience is more convincing then words. I would try to just keep an open-mind, start slowly exploring spirituality without any biases and explore various materials such as: 1. Watching videos of gurus like Sadhguru and Osho (there's a lot more). 2. Reading some books, books by Alan Watts or Eckhart Tolle are some examples. 3. Start a meditation habit so that you can start to recognize your own experience in a more conscious way. 4. Try a psychedelic (responsibly).- this is what led me to pursue spirituality and get a meditation habit. 5. Look up Kriya Yoga. Theres a lot of ways to start building yourself. Start slow so you don't feel overwhelmed, but at some point its gonna need to get serious if you want to realize the truth. That is why people here are being serious here and their definitely is a lot of seriousness around here. Spirituality is a serious pursuit. Watching Leo's videos is also very helpful and was pretty much how I got started being serious about spirituality. However, I was always curious about nature, God, religion, and spirituality when I was a child; however because I lacked deep understanding I quickly became an atheist. Experiences of higher power is very very real, it'll be surprising when it happens.

Well, you are in for a treat my friend. Tripping is wild as fuh. No other drug experience can compare. The thing with psychedelics is that its pretty hard to predict what could happen. In one scenario it could be absolutely life changing and you could all the answers you wanted; in another way it could just leave you more confused than before trying it. I have had both experiences, but my first medium dose trip was amazing and big perspective change for me. I was also looking for different things each trip, so like I said its up in the air. Part of me wants to tell you it will really help, but its also not a cure all (don't want to give you false hope). It will definitely help you get in touch with you intuition tho. Edit: I agree with what PsiloPutty is saying, especially in regards to post trip days, I feel much lighter and more creative, helps with meditation and everything.

Microdosing is your best bet to be lucid and still be able to come up with grounded ideas. But medium to high doses can show you how to naturally be creative. It's actually all about letting go of all preconceptions, comparisons, standards, and just create freely! your intention in itself is good enough to guide the direction of the creativity tivity.

Yoooo Leo, I extremely resonated with your comments about Incels, dating, and attraction. You hit the nail. I think, in one way, Elliot was trying to uplift and direct those people to actually take on MGTOW in a healthy and spiritual context.

Thats pretty interesting! I can't speak from experience, but I can see its applicability. Still though, is it fair to say it is equivalent to 40 years of meditation experience? seems reductive. I can also relate to your experiences of synchronicities, I have experienced similar stuff! -
Dude I feel you. School sessions always brings emotion rollercoasters for me too. Overall though, it can be avoided if you prep properly. This means setting aside time everyday to study (actual study tho, don't dick around on the internet), do NOT procrastinate, and actually care about what you are studying (ie. Look at your textbook, read it, ask questions). If you do all of that with ease, school is pretty easy and can be a fun learning experience. My issue is I lack discipline and so I often procrastinated, I still got everything done, but not without anxiety and stress. Still though, I enjoyed learning about various subjects, some professors/teachers are inspiring and intelligent, the people you meet can also be uplifting and a good source of emotional/academic support. I already graduated from College, but if I could go back and give myself advice it would be definitely be to not procrastinate as much as I did.

Hell yeah! I'm right there with you. I'm also 23

Go to AA meetings. Have you tried psychedelics? They are powerful catalysts for change, so much so that the co-founder of AA recommended it to be part of the 12 step program. Try to see the bigger picture of your life too, why should alcohol be such a huge part of it? Keep going on your journey, but surrounding yourself with individuals who are also not so focused on drinking will help. Don't give up.

They're not bad, but then they can get you sidetracked and ultimately unfocused. But the way to re-focus is not to ban them from your mind, but to let them go and slowly, thoughts don't come as often. -

It's for safety reasons and due to the illegality of these substances. Learn about the War on Drugs. Learn about what happened to Timothy Leary. Leo is right, the information is so easy to find on google or on Reddit. -

How long have you meditated and how "hard" have you meditated? I haven't felt like I blended with the cosmos, but I felt my sense of self go away to the point where I started identifying with awareness and all of the contents within it, but how is this a "party trick"? Have you tried LSD? Why would you stop being concerned about the self? I do agree with that last part though. Still a desire is necessary to experience such a thing.
