  1. I feel/felt guilty or unhappy with it because it's a waste of time, its degenerate, and contributes nothing. @Someone here What do you spend your time doing instead?
  2. Boys/Men are too busy playing video games.
  3. are you eating throughout the day? Add Whole Foods into your life. Keep a Food journal, become intimate with yourself.
  4. If everything or all relationships are imaginary, what difference does it make? why are you fighting yourself? make peace.
  5. I have a more nuance approach personally. I do not think war, genocide, torture, or suicide is God's love. It exists because of God's love. but evil is born from the imagination forgetting or even intentionally denying itself. And in one sense suffering, kills your ego and helps you remember.
  6. To me they are. They are actually tend to be the most convincing since they share how complete their diet was and their supplementation process. I get that its anecdotal though, so I am not making a scientific decision. If I go to wiki : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veganism. it reads, "Vegan diets tend to be higher in dietary fiber, magnesium, folic acid, vitamin C, vitamin E, iron, and phytochemicals, and lower in dietary energy, saturated fat, cholesterol, omega-3 fatty acid, vitamin D, calcium, zinc, and vitamin B12." So I think, the best kind of diet, would include foods that make it easy to obtain all of these nutrients. Why don't you agree with this?
  7. I agree with you. The USA meddled in the Middle East in a way that broke their system for politic and economic for US' advantage @Happy Lizard You are right. I was describing and reasoning why some do not view Islam as a religion of peace or negatively, and I think it has to do with the founder's behavior. Many would disagree with you though on them pointing to the same truth, Muslims and Christians alike. I appreciate the thread because it got me to listen to some interesting interviews and discussions. I listened to a few videos of the videos @itachi uchiha posted. It's nice, comparative religion has always been an interesting topic for me, but I don't mean to move the topic from the fact that majority of Muslims are kind. And Christians can and have been immoral/dangerous. Anybody can take a system and corrupt it.
  8. I don't think it is the remotely the same. Muhammad did engage in warfare and so did his followers. Jesus did not engage in warfare, nor did his disciples or apostles. The buddha did not engage in warfare as far as I know. People do not reference Jesus or the gospel as a justification for war. Europeans went to war for secular reasons, or perhaps as sinful Christians, not as following the footsteps of Christ. Muslims consider Muhammad to be an example of a perfect human which means all of what he did is okay. And the 'presentism' argument is not effective, since our discussion is about what human being's behavior is worth emulating today. In the end, majority of Muslims are peaceful and I acknowledge the Truth in Islam (sufism). I own the Quran, I peruse it occasionally, I got a book that has a compilation of 'spiritual gems' from the Quran and Hadith. I love Islamic art. You likely grew up in a Muslim family so stick with it if it's bringing you peace. ---- would you say the BBC doc. on Muhammad's life is accurate?
  9. I would consider it if it didn't cause nutritional deficiencies. They are designed to be supplements, not main sources. If veganism + supplements were good/healthy, then there wouldn't be high rates of malnutrition in vegan community.
  10. @itachi uchiha while the creator of the video regarding pedophilia had a good presentation and reasoning skills. I was hoping that the information was incorrect but it actually is correct and interpreted as okay. I did not find it sufficient in redeeming Muhammad. and the more I researched about Muhammad, the more I am convinced he is not morally perfect. To me Muhammad and Jesus are different. Even the followers, after Jesus’ death, his followers spread the gospel with no violence and many got martyred. Muhammad's followers went to war and set up discriminatory rules. the thing I like about Islam is the mystics and practices. But I can enjoy that without adhering to islam.
  11. @Forza21 Ukrainian people, you, us, others, Leo, are creations of consciousness. Consciousness is uncreated or in other words infinity - because its not a thing, just the 'space' and more, for anything to happen. The quality of that 'space' is actually what everything is made of too. So that is what You are. It's asking yourself "Who am I?" and then you answer conventionally "I am Forza21", but then you ask again "Who am I beneath Forza21?" and then your answer is *no thought* - pure Consciousness - thats what we as living things actually are. When Form/creation appears within consciousness, it becomes distinct from consciousness by other forms/creation. Consciousness doesn't create distinctions that is why there is no you or me. Although I will add for me, paradoxically, Consciousness does create distinctions through its creation. That is why there is a you and me talking on this forum. In summary, everything is still real + you know the Truth. The One in you, is greater than the out in the world. and that One in us all, is the same. Hopefully that makes sense.

  13. @itachi uchiha Thank you for the link! I will watch it
  14. take the information and take action. Literally change your behavior using the given information. It's like if you learn a new rule - If you study for 30 minutes a day, you will perform better in school. Okay so to get something out of the new information I just gave you, you'd have to study 30 minutes a day and see if it resulted in better performance.
  15. What are you trying to do? If you're trying to create a family. Then pick a good one, and be devoted, now that you have that established, you can focus on your purpose. Otherwise you're just wasting your time - producing nothing fruitful. Perhaps you keep lonely people company or you could be indirectly traumatizing others or yourself; It's also like dabbling in different arts and for what purpose? If all you care about is pleasure then you're just a slave to your creation. Much better, to pick something and be fruitful.
  16. well because 'I' am not God. I am a creation of God, meant to interact with other creation.
  17. “Desires make slaves out of kings and patience makes kings out of slaves.” -- Al-Ghazali
  18. spirituality isn't grounded in anything. The community is also much more ambiguous & relative. Religion is grounded in practices, structure, and narratives that capture the spiritual journey, morals that produce results in terms of happiness and stability. in my experience. This is more certainty and support in religions
  19. @itachi uchiha you seem to like to defend islam. what's up with Muhammad consummating Aisha at 9 years old?
  20. why did you imagine it? and what Is the imagination saying to the imagined self.
  21. Give and do charity because it is God-like. charity isn't pointless because you will experience giving which is tantamount to Love.
  22. I generally think it's morally wrong in the long term for you and the person. And I would not recommend it for my sons or daughters. The relationships and sex you have stay with you. They stain you. So be careful who you get involved with. They impact your future relationships. Sex also influences how you feel about a person and it blocks you from thinking clearly about the girl/boy. Or the opposite will happen where you objectify that person because you cannot be completely vulnerable. Secondly, you don't know these people. Most people are harmless of course, but all it takes is one girl to persuade you to do something, then you get robbed like one user posted here. or they're crazy, or whatever. But thats what you get dude when you f*** around with strangers. Be the kind of man, you'd want your imaginary daughter to have.
  23. I think people in the West are more critical of Christianity because they grow up in it and so they feel more righteous being able to do so since it's their culture. They also feel the direct effects of extreme christians. Most westerns I know, don't really know the specifics Islam. All extremists in Islam are simply as seen as extremists, not the majority of muslims. They are assessing Islam differently because they have no experience of it and don't know anything about it.
