https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ten_Bulls Don't take it too literally though. Enlightenment isn't the kind of thing that's mappable. -
@Faceless Which relationship is unconditional??? You don't even have an unconditional relationship with yourself. You'd kill yourself given the right condition

Yup, quite a lot of it. My first success was from daygame. I stopped a girl at the mall who was walking and talking on her phone with her Mom. I convinced her to hang up on her Mom and chat with me instead. She was 25. That was an awesome victory! Very hot girl too.

Of course, that's called an arranged marriage in India

@blazed Your body also hates Truth The weed made you go deep precisely because you came into it with a totally open mind, free of preconceptions. That's the ideal state to be in: Beginner's Mind! Unfortunately you balked at Nothingness. God is a frightening thing to behold, especially to a 12 year old
-
Yes, that's precisely how it works for an ego/mind which isn't ready. Truth is an acquired taste. Much like alcohol or bittersweet chocolate. Kids don't like those. Psychedelics are extremely threatening to anyone who isn't ready to have their entire reality thrown into the shredder. And weed is just the tip of the iceberg. A true psychedelic would have scared the shit out of you. But I love 'em! They are just right for my kind of mind. On psychedelics, my mind becomes an infinite supercomputer, able to crunch the entire universe and scan the mind of God. It's too amazing to put into words.

No, there's actually remarkable and uncanny similarity between all trip reports. Almost everyone experiences nonduality at high doses. The question is, can they stomach it? When clueless people take psychedelics, they don't understand what they're shown because it clashes with the materialist paradigm so much, and they are so clueless they don't even understand that materialism is a paradigm. You cannot take a random person off the street and blast his mind with full nonduality. It's way too much for him to handle. He's gonna freak out and not understand a damn thing. But if you take a person who's been struggling, chasing nonduality for 3 years, going to meditation retreats, doing self-inquiry, etc. and you give him a blast of psychedelic, he will love you for it. It will be the greatest gift to him. Because he's ready to receive the Truth. He has a context for it. His mind is primed. Unfortunately once a person has been chasing enlightenment for 3 years, he's been programmed with so much dogma from gurus, that he is reluctant to take a psychedelic, because the gurus told you it's somehow impure or sinful.

Everything I denounce, I also don't denounce. The devil is none other than God. Yes, the devil is handy for staying alive.

No, it's not about pleasure. It can be quite horrifying. That's how you know it's real. If it was just all pleasure, you couldn't rely on it. I never look forward to doing psychedelics. It's something I have to force myself to do. It's like entering a cage with an untamed lion. You'd be a fool to do it too eagerly.

Yes, you can enter all these states, and have all these insights without taking psychedelics. The question isn't whether you can, but whether you will? Mystical states are a separate thing from insight and Truth. Just like all spiritual practices, psychedelics offer both peak state experiences AND insight and Truth. You can use psychedelics to enter a blissful state, just like you can use meditation to enter a blissful state. But you can also use them for growth and accessing Absolute Truth. Most gurus don't talk about psychedelics because they haven't done much of them themselves, they are difficult to source, they are illegal in many places, they are a relatively new technology, gurus have a dogma against it, and psychedelics put the gurus out of business. Once you find the right combination of psychedelics, you will never need another guru again. You will learn more from one trip than you did in 5 years of listening to the most advanced gurus.

@Faceless You're missing out

Of course drugs don't solve life's problems. Drugs can elevate your consciousness and show you that all problems are illusions of the mind. Yes, like any powrful tool, drugs can be easily abused in the wrong hands. Most people horribly misuse psychedelics. Just like most people horribly misuse spirituality. It's always possible to delude yourself, with or without psychedelics. For me, personally, psychedelics have been the #1 tool for growth. Nothing else even comes close. But that's just me. I can't speak about how you might misuse them. The way I do psychedelics is very carefully and thoughtfully. No, actually I was always a highly intuitive person. I have always denounced logic as self-contradictory, circular, and delusional. Whatever wisdom I possess comes from my mind's intuitive connection to infinite intelligence. Logic is a tool of the devil.
-
I'm not sure about anything. I am just sharing ideas which my intuitions tells me have some value.
-
Could also be that the models are the work of infinite intelligence trying to help people see the way. God's training wheels.

The clearest way to get a feel for what raising of consciousness is like, is by taking a psychedelic. Within 30 minutes you experience your consciousness raised to ungodly levels. It's quite astouding. You'll struggle to believe it even as it is happening to you. You can literally become conscious of how existence came into being and why it exists, for example. A more conventional way to feel a rise in consciousness is to compare yourself when you're foggy or horny or sleepy versus when you're sober and clear-minded. It's a pretty big difference.

@NoSelfSelf As opposed to a fake temple?

@Mighty Mouse Sure But stunting growth is a tricky issue. Growth isn't always linear, and maximum truth doesn't always grow people as might be expected. The wrong pace of growth will backfire and lead to regression or stunting. Skipping stages often backfires. A crack addict is not ready to hear about Enlightenment. The Spiral Dynamics stages are a useful model. Not Absolute Truth. And it's important for people not get ahead of themselves. Seeing a stage Turquoise person face to face can be an important step towards ultimately realizing the Absolute. It's a motivational thing more than anything. It's inspiring. It shows you who you can become, and what the possibilities are. Of course all models have their limitations and will ultimately be abandoned after they've served their purpose.
-
Sure, you can acclimate to anything: being a billionaire, or being in a concentration camp, or meeting Jesus.
-
It really helps to meet a Turquoise person face to face. It's a rather inspiring thing. Most people have never met such a person and don't even know such a person is possible. Imagine, if you will, that you met Jesus face to face. That's what it's sorta like. Their presence alone awes you. And don't confuse Spiral Dynamics stages with enlightenment. Spiral Dynamics isn't mapping out a path towards enlightenment. It's measuring other aspects of growth.

Pick any topic of human endeavor, and you can become much more conscious of it. For example: politics, mathematics, science, language, nutrition, ecology, business, finances, animals, government, design, architecture, agriculture, history, culture, religion, dating, family, education, etc, etc. You could design and build your own conscious house, for example. Probably a good idea for a conscious person to live in a conscious dwelling. You could even design your own conscious city! I once had a coaching client who's dream was to build an underwater city. There is no end to it. It's infinite! When it comes to consciousness of your own mind, there will still be plenty to become conscious of there. Emotions are so tricky, it will take you 40 years of practice to become fully conscious of them. And then there is the realm of spiritual powers like astral projection and paranormal stuff, which is a very deep rabbit hole. Sadhguru built and consecrated his own temple! It nearly killed him. So there is much to do!

When I was serious about it, I was doing 20 approaches per night. The most I did was 700 approaches in one month. It took me 450 approaches to get my first girl. Of course it's not just about quantity. Quality of approach matters A LOT. But for newbies, sheer quantity is needed to build up the quality, cause a newbie doesn't know what quality means yet. The whoke key to pickup is you gotta find a place where you can quickly make 20 approaches per night/day. And you can only do that in very specific areas, like a big nightclub, or downtown area, or giant shopping mall, or busy beach. Best places are: NYC LA Venice Beach Santa Monica Miami Austin Vegas London Etc.

@Moreira Personal Dev, Consciousness, Growth, Truth, Learning, Health, Reading Books, etc. -- these are all values. Some people value them, some don't. People who are into self-actualization should seek out relationships with other people who are also into self-actualization. Otherwise, you two will quickly grow apart. This doesn't mean the person has to share all of your values, but there needs to be at least like 50% alignment on the most important ones. You can't be a self-actualizer who dates a fundamentalist Mormon. It's not going to work. The freedom and honesty that comes from self-actualization will disturb the Mormon too much. Fundamentally, you want to find a person who's into growing themselves and values health over dysfunction. That can be hard to find. But that's what a self-actualizer needs. Start hanging around yoga classes or Wholefoods, where such people congregate

Meditation as a form of relaxation from stress can certainly be a distraction becuase the real problems aren't being consciously explored, but merely molified with a pleasant, serene state. Mechanical meditation can also be a distraction. But that is not serious meditation. That is sorta like Western yoga classes. They have been defanged. Real meditation is just being highly conscious of everything in the present moment, which helps a lot with enlightenment, cause how else are you gonna have a deep insight??? You gotta put awareness on it. Of course the devil will try to co-opt meditation to serve his devilish ways. But if you meditate well, you should be able to catch that. -

The problem would be: a disconnect in values. You can't be in an effective relationship with someone when your values are totally different. And the deeper question is: Why would you want to be in a relationship with someone who's not into your values? That would be sort of like wearing a shoe that doesn't fit. It might work for a while, but not in the long run.
