Well, the leaves fall down
In autumn in our old town

And I know now,
The colours orange and yellow
And I know know,
That all we need… is just a little bit, for now… oh oh

Well the leaves fall down,
in autumn in our old town
And I know now,
the colours orange and yellow

We’re looking out
Across an open skyline
And I know now..
That all we need… is just a little bit… for now.. oh oh…

2 very good, yet distinct guided meditations

1. This one Tara Brach presents is more heart fullness, self compassion, acceptance, returning to non-judgmental awareness

2. Jon’s is more being aware of being. Sitting in a present ways non-judgmental observation and body/ breath an awareness.

Both useful, both different styles, teaching different attitudes that are essential to mindfulness. One is more poetic while one is more matter of fact.

Id like to do each of them a few more times back to back and contemplating the differences.

This is a good meditation. It’s focused on helping you calm the mind, completely let go into an active and effortless awareness of the peaceful present moment. This is a good meditation. Leo has good use of language, he guides people toward quality attitudes toward meditation practice and addresses how to attend to the wandering mind throughout.

This is a good meditation. However, there are mindfulness exercises and Qigong/ yoga meditations which are also important and useful toward spiritual growth and energetic, mind mastery.

This is also a good meditation do use throughout the day to let go, return the presences and relax.

Toxic emissions
Modern conditions
Vague apparitions
Lost in the discontent
Cling to the senses
Cling to the nothingness
Laugh like you are not there
Laugh like you did not care
Tension and dying air
Soft and familiar
Wide eyed and innocent
Warm ways and imminent

Breathe in, breathe in
Breathe in, breathe in

Oblivion, oblivion, oblivion, oblivion

Lines in a paper
Black clouds and vapor
Mouth filled with summer
Light rain and meteors
Light rain and meteors
Holes in the universe
Crayons and scribblers
Infinite bellies burst
Cracks in the ocean crust
Choke on the cosmic dust

What will become of us?
What will become of us?
What will become of us?
What will become of us?

Oblivion, oblivion, oblivion, oblivion
Oblivion, oblivion, oblivion, oblivion

Oblivion, oblivion, oblivion, oblivion
Oblivion, oblivion, oblivion, oblivion
Oblivion, oblivion, oblivion, oblivion

I came back for a bit. Unfortunately, Leo’s tone in the blog, the forum itself and how it’s a waste of time means I’ll be leaving.

I’ve been evacuated from my work area due to the forest fires. I’ve been in a state of climate gloom the last few days and weeks. The heat waves, El Niño, forest fires and then seeing the competence in governments like the US I worry about a climate catastrophe.

I am staying strong through the waves of grief and fear. I’m still planning in accordance with my vision.

It was good while it lasted 🤷 many of us tried.

If the climate crashes so will fossil fuel use, so

Maybe when the climate recovers in a thousand years our descendants will learn from our failures.

@Elliott Yeah, I’m not sure. When I look at what the climate will likely do I think this is a first for humanity. Maybe not our ancestors going back millions of years.

Humanity I think is just gonna keep burning fossil fuels to the end. I don’t see us stopping. We are basically hooked like a monkey who grabbed the sugar trap.

What is happening is nightmare beyond nightmare. Gonna be insane.

I actually suspect it’s already too late. We are hot enough the artic is melting which means it’s just a ticking time bomb.

The polar ice caps will melt and those will be the survivable areas. I think its survivable. Fossil fuel use will cease pretty quickly when the climate crashes, the economy and industry won't be able to function.

@Elliott No.. when they melt the jet stream and ocean currents collapses which sends the whole globe in chaos. We have no models for when this happens. Repairing these systems is likely impossible. They need to be maintained and nurtured. But, with trump and all the survival pressures and distractions and poor education of humanity… We can’t win unless we all go all in together. Earth will not be survivable on the surface anywhere long enough to establish civilization. Constant deadly storms, heatwaves, mega storms.

We have a very fragile system. Basically, because humans lie this is happening.

Any hope requires turning off fossil fuels completely. Even then, we’ve created a green house effect so suddenly it’s insane. Our economy, culture and population size…. There’s not stopping us now.

Humanity needs to be united and we need global balance. Every human and government should be stewards of earth… not GDP.
