This is what I am talking about. How is that not being dismissive?

What if it was your family member who was raped? Like your daughter, or your sister, or your mom? And there was a video of her being raped online, watched by millions of people.

And you said that people who watched this video were part of the issue and are contributing to the problem.

But I was like: "well, you see, we are are all contributing to one thing or another... And this is such a large issue in general that should be addressed at its root cause. So anyway, I am gonna go jerk off to your daughter/mom/sister getting raped. "

You were missing the point I was making. I was trying to say don't make the issue into porn watchers make it a perpetrators issue and how they are the ones responsible because if we made it a porn watchers problem then we would have to make everybody responsible for every problem there is.

@Something FunnyYes, I do admit there are some ethical problems with porn. But... it is not the problem. It is a manifestation of prior causes. The reason it is happening is because the insanities in man. I think we should focus on improving humanity, that is my interest. I want to treat the root cause, not the symptoms.

Most porn that is consumed is on streaming sites anyway, for free. Having a few people boycott porn isn't going to damage the Adult Industry significantly.

I want to improve humanity by making it a membership. We can all agree on human rights(at least those that consider themselves a member of the human race) and if we believe in these core rights we can be in a position to protect and defend violations of those said human rights.

And I do much more than contribute to Charites, I do public speaking, I do zoom consolations, I attend meetings and seminars regarding this issue.

What is it that you are trying to tell me? I am willing to listen. I want to know your side. How can I help?

And that's where my point of you being too binary comes into play.

Please explain to me why it's is so difficult to address both sides of the issue? Why can't we take responsibility on the personal level, try to educate consumers to be more responsible with what they are watching, and also prosecute perpetrators?

How come do you feel like you need to pick only one of those? This is what's bugging me the most.

What I am trying to tell you is that you have a noble goal and are welcome to pursue it, but I don't see how one thing, is in the way of another when they are basically mutually supportive.

And I don't understand why you feel like you need to come into this threads and push your ideas here, plus dismiss what is being talked about.

Why don't you start your own thread about your vision for human rights? And then I can come in and flood it with "why you should stop watching porn" videos.

Then why don't you go for the McDonald's job and work for a company where it's food is making half of America obese and creating all kinds of illnesses from it's addictive toxic ingredients and underpaying it's staff while they are getting rich. Why don't you go do that and come back and tell me about the stinky ass people you had to deal with and the smelly ass bathrooms you had to clean while slaving for 8hrs a day. Please don't tell me what I definitely get as an escort because some girl told you about her experience. It can be dangerous just sitting on your front porch.

@StarStruckYou have no idea what can happen in this industry. I will just give you 2 examples. How would you like it if someone gave you $1,000 just to smoke a cigarette while he watched you and got himself off because he has a fetish for watching women smoke cigarettes, and the session lasted 20mins. Also $1,500 just to sit there and lick your feet for half hr because he has a foot fetish. Ok I'll throw in one more. $500 for you to tell him he's a bad boy. I mean the list goes on and these men are professionals with clean asses. Don't let me start on the cops who are the cleanest of them all and the judges and teachers who are the kinkiest. I will stop here because I know someone here will come back at me with some morality bullshit and then I might have to let loose.

Ok, thank you for your comment. I appreciate your feedback. Thank you for telling me I have a noble goal and I think you do to. I know you are very concerned with human slavery and want to help. We are very much the same in our desire to help.

What else would you like me to know? I am genuinely interest in hearing your views. I know you have good ideas and I am happy to hear them.

I think what you're missing here is that the OP did state that if you CONSUME PORN etcetc and consumerism is connected to human rights.

"Consumerism is connected to human rights"

This is the most capitalistic bullshit I've heard in a while.

What about eating kids? Is it my human right to be able to eat kids. I should be able to consume what I want, correct? It's my human right after all.

I welcome your ideas and opinions about handling sex slavery. I am sure you know some good solutions.  And I am happy to hear them. After all, we are here to increase our knowledge and understanding. So if there is anything on your mind, please share. Your contributions are valuable to me. So, I would be happy to continue. Please continue, if you please.

Thats your opinion. I don't see what I'm doing is any different from what 90% of people are doing except I'm getting paid for it and I am not hurting anyone. What I mentioned are extreme cases but the plot is still the same. A shitty job is a relative notion. McDonald's is causing a lot of harm in our society but Noone is talking about that they condone the Millionaires who run them without seeing the harm they are causing with their shitty food and that goes for a lot of different companies.

What I'm saying is I have rights as a consumer if I go to Walmart and slip and fall. Thats just an example

If you told me what you did for a living I could probably find something shitty about it too and that would just also be my opinion. So it wouldn't matter. I consider any job shitty if it's not contributing to the betterment of society at least most of my customers walk away happy.

1) You are preying upon people who are mostly sex addicts. Some of them probably have families and wives. But instead of becoming a therapist and offering them help and support you are extracting money from them.

2) Unless you are completely on your own, you are earning money for the same type of a douchebag who runs mcdonalds. And just because this douchebag doesn't abuse you personally, doesn't mean he doesn't abuse anyone else.

3) Ultimately, what you are doing causes the same harm mcdonalds is causing, just on a smaller scale and in a different way, because your bosses weren't cunning enough to be as successful as mcdonalds.

This has nothing to do with what we are talking about. We are not arguing whether pornhub should have a refund system or not...

I work in logistics and help to transport medicine to sick people.

However, this is not a point. I am not shaming your job. Pleasr don't take it in that way.

I didn't even finish reading your comment before I started this one. All I had to see was the word preying before I started laughing. I knew some moralistic comment was coming. Now let me finish reading it. Ok now that you got that off your chest, I was hoping you would have been a bit more original with the bashing......yawn, yawn

You are not even fit to have a discussion like this because your arguments aren't even making sense.

These are not related to Human Rights thus not relevant. These are judgements, not related to membership in humanity. Neither are Consumer Rights however, as Industries have rights as well.  It is important to make these distinctions.
