Which breathing techniques do actually work?

8 posts in this topic

Work for what? you might ask...

I just mean to produce any kind of extraordinary experience or state, could be related to awakening or healing, could be "to produce dmt" or to "activate the third eye/pineal gland" or to "open the chakras" or to bring up some of your trauma or whatever.

Also: is it expected for a technique to not produce any kind of special experience until you have practiced it a lot? It would seem reasonable to assume that but then again I feel like "if something works it works", why would it take 100 attempts for it to work? Must I first awaken some sleeping dragon in my stomach or what is it?

Also: Can there be other things you need to do so a breathing technique will produce these extraordinary experiences? I imagine it has to do with energy. So what can be messed up about your energy, can you have a literal knot in your energy channel that blocks the flow or what is it? And then you first need to unravel the knots so that then the energy can be moved by techniques like the breath?

Sorry for this mess of a post, thanks in advance!

Schedule a day where you will do only holotropic breathing. Maybe 2 hour sessions with 30 minutes break, 10h in total.

a) you will get a full blow trip, no doubt

b) you will need lower doses afterwards

I have been doing it for about a year and now I can feel it the second I begin doing the technique.

@Michal__ awesome, thanks!

Is there anything to be wary about? The last time I did holotropic breathing I got extreme forearm and calve cramping, can this just be ignored?

Switch to nose when bodily symptoms get too uncomfortable.

Sometimes it's the journey itself that teaches/ A lot about the destination not aware of/No matter how far/
How you go/How long it may last/Venture life, burn your dread
