Time restrictive eating - how precisely?

4 posts in this topic

There's "time eating window" which is recommended to be 8-10 hours. What's that window precisely?

Let's say, I'd eat 8:00 til 18:00 -- any time I want, any amount, like a pig. But from 18:00-8:00 of the next day - no food. That is, the window will be 10 hours: from 8-18;

consequently, non-eating window - 14 hours.

The former can be descreased, as the latter increased.

Is that what how it's supposed to work?

@rnd That is how it works.

I don’t know about your recommended time of 8-10 hours though. I’d say that’s a hotly debated topic with a lot of nuance. David Sinclair, for instance, usually does a 2 hour window.

I’ve personally been on somewhere around a 2-6 hour window for the past couple of years, seems to work amazingly well for me.

You mean, per 24 hours you eat only within the window of 2-6 hours? Multiple times?

And you fast during 18h-22 hours that are left?
