Society is so complex but laws so black and white...

Do u agree with the same? 

What kind of legal system should we have to suit a society which is ever-changing. Whenever we want to fight a law or amend it, we need to protest and there is always a rejection of changing the norms.....  

What are some examples of this discrepancy you all would like suggest?

I agree with the point of society being complex, but not so sure if I would call laws black and white.

The thing is, as society and culture evolves, laws evolve as well. Our judicial system pretty much reflects the level of consciousness and cognitive development its citizens are at. This goes for the US and other nations.

One thing is for certain, nothing stays stagnant. Evolution is imminent .. hopefully it's evolving to something higher.

Laws do change to fit society, though. Slavery was legal in America 160 years ago. Only men could vote 100 years ago. Alcohol went from legal for everyone, to illegal for everyone, to legal for everyone older than 21. Abortion went from impossible, to illegal, to legal, and now it’s in the process of being made illegal or heavily restricted. Guns were always legal, though. That’ll never change.

It’s all arbitrary. Not black and white unless that’s where society is.
