Are Jews God's Chosen People?

5 posts in this topic

Chosen people is a term associated with the Jewish people. It's expressed in the idea that they have been chosen by God as his special people. The term implies that the Jewish people have been chosen by God to worship only him and to fulfill the mission of proclaiming his truth among all the nations of the world.

Tikkun olam is the idea that Jews bear responsibility not only for their own moral, spiritual, and material welfare, but also for the welfare of society at large.

Is there any truth in all of this or is it just a religious concept with no real meaning?

Why would you say that? They have the highest average IQ in the world and highest number of Nobel prize winners compared to their share in world population. Why do you think it's impossible that God created them with a special role in this dream? It wouldn't be a surprise that some dream characters have different roles than others.

Locked for low quality. We will not be discussing here whether Jews are more or less special than other people.
