Why must something inevitable be considered evil? Aren't all artistic visions part of the balance allowing reality to shape itself in the best possible way? The idea God can be Love is a nice breakthrough by itself, if we omit the details such as the existence of some external force who will save you or throw you into hell if you don't obey, or whatever.

You are looking for understandings of God which don't compromise on survival, aren't you?
