Without human beings, how could the universe exists?

5 posts in this topic

Maybe the answer is it wouldn't exist, because someone needs to be dreaming it to exist?

The question assumes that there is a human being separated from the universe, the universe can exist or not. Is it really true? Do you see the solid boundary between the feeling of "me" and the universe? Have you ever seen non-existence?

What a dream, what a joke, love it   :x

You are dreaming up the universe, and humans too.

You are not a human. You are God cosplaying a human.

The true intent behind your question is this: could the universe exist without me?

To which the answer is an obvious: NO!

Since you created the universe.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

What is taste without our tongues?

Edited by Megan Alecia
Hard to imagine, right?

"We are like the spider. We weave our life and then move along in it. We are like the dreamer who dreams and then lives in the dream. This is true for the entire universe."

It depends on how you define "dream" and "exist".

Imagine you a dreaming that you are a dream character "Paul" in New York city with lots of humans. Your dream character Paul asks "without human beings, how could this world exist? Someone needs to be dreaming it to exist?"

Who is/are the dreamer(s)? What if we remove Paul from the dream? Does it continue? What if we remove all the humans in the dream? Can we have a humanless dream? What if you wake up? Does the NYC dream continue? What if you are a dream character in a higher-order dream? Which of these things "exist"?
