Financial intelligence resources

5 posts in this topic

I really need to improve my financial intelligence. Best practices for saving, investing long term, budgeting etc.

Any books / youtube channels / podcast recommendations?

I need highly practical books. And I've found a lot of the books in this niche to be sleazy.

Books tend to get old and outdated although you still can get good general information on how the financial world works. Good books out there are The Intelligent Investor and Trading for a Living.

I don't think youtube channels and podcast provide a good avenue of learning. They can sure teach you some bits on money management and mindset but you probably need to learn a lot more. I recommend you go to websites that just talk about investments, stocks and chartings. Eg https://www.investopedia.com/stocks-4427785

Listen to this. See if you feel things clicking in a profound way just during the first 30 minutes. If the style suits you keep going and I think you will get quite a deep sense of higher level understanding just from this one video.
