Letting go/ Full surrender during inquiry

3 posts in this topic

I'm having difficult fully letting go during inquiry. When the mind gives the instruction to fully let go there is a lot of resistance, and it usually ends with a giant gasp of air after a few seconds of attempting to let go. After the mind says "let it go" there is a usually a few moments of what seems to be an attempt to surrender to the present moment but it only lasts a few moments. Does this sound like i'm on the right track with inquiry or have i hit a dead end? Any insights would be appreciated.

Surrender is not an action of the mind. It is that of your innate being. It’s one of those things that just happens, like in a dream when you die there’s this letting go of all thoughts/stories/ideas (game over)

when you encounter resistance, continue to allow until that too can be accepted and seen for what it is, then perhaps you will be free, like you always were but refused to see
