Self-inquiry hitting a wall

8 posts in this topic

So can i just sit in stillness and ask questions? or must I intensely focus on the observer? When i focus intensely the present feeling of not-knowimg goes away and it feels like I'm just frantically creating tension.

@Mada_ how do you focus on the observer?

Can you describe this observer? Have you found it?

@Mada_ Keep going “prior to” / undercutting / undermining. Never accept an answer.

Who sits?

Who is asking questions?

Who is “focusing”?

Where is this “observer”?

Who believes in intensity?

Who is claiming a “present”?

Who “feels”?

Who “not knows”?

What is aware of “frantic”?

Who is this “creator”?

What knows “tension”?

@Mada_ The purpose of self-inquiry is not really the questions. The purpose is surrender. You know that "I" who you are. It's the most obvious thing in the world. Self-inquiry will initially show you that this "I" is not located anywhere in the body or anywhere in space for that matter. Then it will become a process of staying as that "I" despite of things. Instead of becoming through "I am this or that" you stay as "I am", only this knowledge itself is not the verbal sort of knowledge.

Mada,

Enquire of the God of the Holy Bible, and that wall shall come crashing down.

Happy searching....
