Mobile - Deleting tags and quotes?

I used my phone quite a bit to browse the forums and I often find myself tagging or quoting somebody in a reply I then decide against doing. The problem is on my phone if I try to delete it like any text it just doesn't work and so I'm stuck with a cached draft unless I open in incognito or something. 

Any simpler solutions?

Update your browser or change to Chrome, it doesn't have such problems.

You have to tap outside of the text box. And then tap on the quote box. And then press backspace to delete it.

I am using Chrome this whole time and have this issue.

Unfortunately doesn't work. What keyboard are you using? Perhaps it's the fact I am using SwiftKey.

I use the touch screen keyboard that's pre installed on samsung galaxy S5.

@Shadowraix I have the same... Can't delete. Just post whatever it is you'd like removed and then 'hide' it ?
