If you were a 2D character; would you be able to describe 3D ?

3 posts in this topic

Yes or no?

How so?

Also; is time a dimension to you? Is it the 4th dimension? Or is it just a part of 3D?

Matt Kahn once stated; "the 4th dimension is the time it takes you to get from 3D to 5D."

What do you think about that?

How would you, as a 3D character in a 3D world, describe 5D or more?

Ever heard of tesseracts? They are really cool.

Possibly. You can map 3d movement on 2d and similarly map 4d on 3d. Quaternions are concepts that have many purposes in computing like rotation and they are 4d in nature. I know a video that explains quaternions and builds up from the perspective of 1d creature visualizing 2d then 2d to 3d and so on if you would like to watch it.

I'm talking strictly spatial dimensions. 4th dimension as time is a non spatial concept. It's temporal.

the answer is no

i forgot the answer

and yes time is 4d because its a 3d object moving from one position to another

1d moves in 2d , 2d moves in 3d, 3d moves in 4d, 4d moves in 5d,

5d is the all possible future , 6d is the all possible past etc.etc.

his version of 5d is different to the original scientific notion in string theory, by 5d i think he just means the spiritual because once you know 4d is not real, the whole model breaks down to absolute garbage and therefore its the time taken to go from 3d to 5d
