In that interview above, with his flat mate, before he was famous, apparently Russell said his goal was to sleep with 5000 women.

I'm not sure what causes men to rape though.

I mean how would you reform a serial killer for example.

I guess the only real way is to have an awakening.

Yeah and that's out for a guy like him. 5000 . And you're concerned about his family sticking by him. I guess i can't judge hehe

I know it sounds extreme, but that's how she expressed it.

It's like being grateful for something really terrible, because it eventually brought you to an even better place.

Yeah but isn't that just a way to make peace with yourself? There's no telling whether she would be at this same place without being raped. Its a survival mechanism. A defense mechanism

Nothing wrong with that we all must do that. But see it clearly.

I'm not minimizing the trauma of rape.

I'm saying apparently it is possible to heal completely though.

He was 20 when he said that.

I'm not saying he's a nice guy.

But no one deserve to lose their family completely.

There's no healing. That is a scar that will always be with her

Yes, that is the general perception.

But I'm telling you there are women who have healed completely.

Ok if you say so.

There's a lot of myths around healing.

This dude helps people to heal when a loved one dies.

His wife died of cancer, and he processed it in a month.

Two minutes in and he's wrong.  They do grieve the bad things too.  You cannot wipe that from your mind. So they must embrace all of you.

The video was only 2min lol

There's actually a whole process to it.

But here he is just saying that people don't tend to acknowledge the relief felt in the absence of the negative qualities of the deceased person.

Who wants to recall the bad stuff. No one. But they know it's there. They can brush it under the rug which it appears he is saying we do when we grieve. But I don't think so.

Maybe this 3min video explains better.

It's not about recalling bad stuff.

It's about rebalancing one sided perception of loss.

ie you're sad that their good qualities are gone.

but there is relief or even joy that you don't need to deal with negative qualities of that person anymore.

ie neutrality of perception.

It's so crazy. There are compilations on YouTube now that are framing his old TV antics as him being a creepy predator who was making everyone around him uncomfortable. However, when those clips originally aired over 10-15 years ago, he was seen as socially and sexually liberated, provider of positive vibes and emotions and someone playful but harmless. I'm shocked by this turn of events. Culture has truly shifted.
