you touching her, escalating physically

We’re literally not allowed to do that anymore without explicitly asking first and getting a very clear verbal yes. It’s not 2005. Maybe guys who know what they’re doing can afford to take the gamble. Touching without a person’s clear verbal consent can and does land people battery charges.

I’ve never done anything like this before.

See this is what’s so infuriating. While I’m sure what you and others keep telling me is largely valid, it’s also one of the number 1 things that kills my state. The fact that it has to be this way makes it challenging to not fall right back into blackpill and misogyny. You would think that after billions of years of evolution we would’ve been equipped with a better mating system than having to guess subconscious cues, perfectly analyze what all the little signals mean in real time and with no room for error, know how to go after what you want from her but in a way that’s not too pushy but also not passive and somehow figure out where exactly that line is with each new date without just plainly asking.

Or instead of blaming evolution, could it be the more recent metoo sensationalism we can thank for creating this tangled labyrinth?

2. Read "How to be a 3% man" 10-15 times

I don’t have time to be reading books first, I need to jump on this NOW before some male mind-reader comes along and steals her away by knowing exactly when, where and how much she wants him to touch her without asking.

Best thing I can do is get advice here and watch the videos you send.

Try talking to at least 50 women a week. You need conversation reps and abundance mentality.

The fact is you’re going to mess up especially early on, you need volume to have the chance to mess up and iron out the errors.

I need to not mess up on her. She’s less than one in a thousand and I may actually have a shot.

Perhaps consider resolving your feelings about male mind-reader Chad before exploring your options with yoga girl.  If you bring Chad along in your head with you on your date and keep showing her how much better he is than you, of course its going to be weird.  In fact, the more she respects you, the more she's going to consider what you imply with your actions and behaviors, so if you keep implying that Chad is better than you, she's going to take it seriously even if she doesn't care for Chad.  Furthermore, she's likely uninterested in competing with Chad for space in your head.  If Chad is so great, maybe you should be the one asking him out.

That's perhaps hyperbolic, but I think it gets my point across.  If I may offer further advice, the Chad in your head isn't going to leave you alone just because you give him the boot.  The uncommon truth is that everyone in your head is your friend, regardless of how they seem to act or how you (mis)treat them.  Chad is perhaps trying to advise you on how to be more Chad-like, under the assumption that the best way to be is to be like Chad.  Resolve within yourself what kind of support if any you really want from this Chad ahead of time, then go on your date with yoga girl in your real best condition.

Did Generation X have to do countless reps to land a good girlfriend back in their time? Did our dads? I’m starting to realize I may have been programmed through media and cultural narratives from a young age to believe a romantic couple is born of two people with similar interests/values naturally gravitate towards each other without much effort. Perhaps it WAS like that in the not so distant past.

Instead it looks like I’ll have to find a way to get in 500 approaches in a short time (I might actually do it) and inevitably piss off half the city in the process before my opportunity falls through. That of course runs the risk of my oneitis herself hearing by word of mouth or video of me going around “practicing” on massive amounts of women. Surely society isn’t so shitty they’ll just blindly refuse to accept my valid reasoning, right?… RIGHT?

Times changed, back then society was less atomized and there were more available women because more guys died young and less women were sharing men, also those guys were neurotypical, and odds are even if you didn’t learn game you may have eventually bumbled your way into a relationship, but it’s probably not one you would have wanted.

If you want above average results and have below average skills you have to put in more effort, it’s like that with everything.

Keep in mind I didn’t necessarily say you have to burn every interaction to the ground. I’m just saying practice socializing, positive vibes, humor and basic body language. Try not even showing interest, just seeing if you can get people to like you platonically or get them invested in conversation.
