Men and women are equal is all dimensions of society so it doesn´t have an use anymore. The only feminists that still exists are the women who are disgruntled in love and dating. And use feminism to cope.

I mean… kind of. The vast majority of positions power are still held by men. Women still need to put up with constant threats of sexual violence. I’ve heard countless stories from women about their drinks being spiked. Many older men in positions of power still have very antiquated views of women which can severely impact their career prospects.

Inequality is not as overt as it once was, but it’s still present.

Fair. Like I said, they do exist and university concentrates people leaning left.

Certainly in my last 5 years of adulthood since uni I can’t think of a single woman I’ve met who I’d classify as an extreme feminist to this degree, or a man hater. I’ve heard women say “I hate men” on occasion but they still had many male friends and dated men.

Generally most of the active feminist women I’ve met were fighting for or arguing for very reasonable causes. Things like making the world safer for women and reducing sexual violence. Helping women navigate male dominated workplaces. Fighting for women’s rights in countries where they are still extremely marginalised. None of that is extreme at all

Yes it is caused by pain. But what I notice in their story and in your story is the lack of agency in these women.

Only personal responsibility will solve the issue.

Dated a 19 year old recently and has gone fast and bad. There are development stages and if you think a 19, 20 will have maturity to deal with the complexity of relationship you may be ready to have A LOT of patience for the Learning Curve. Even if you are the same age as them.

I live in the UK.

And personal responsibility is not the solution to a societal problem. It can be a way of managing a societal problem as an individual.

Ask yourself why women with these views come to exist in the first place? Extreme views arise out of pain and suffering under a system that treats you unfairly. Better to attempt to fix the system than expect everybody to take personal responsibility over the problems the system causes them. Yes, the latter is necessary too, but the former is the root solution to the problem.

I also don’t see anything I said that points towards a lack of agency. If anything the opposite. The irony is that the conservative viewpoint you argue for asserts that women are not meant to have agency. Feminism is a result of women fighting for more agency because many parts of our society still actively try to strip them of it.
