It's usually not a good move to invite a girl straight over unless you're a Tinder King and you've done it multiple times so you're smooth with it. Especially if you have rapport with her but no sexual tension, it's gonna feel uncalibrated to her like you don't care about the connection you've built and you just want a quick fuck. 

If downtown is 20 mins walking distance from your place then that's perfect, you can meet there, get a coffee/smoothie/bubble tea and walk in the direction of where you live and see how it goes. 

Otherwise it's also fine to meet somewhere decently far and just build attraction on the date, leave on a high note so she's left craving more so that next time she's down to come over and watch a movie and you seal the deal on the 2nd date.
