@Olaf I approached/made the move for 3/5 of my long term relationships. Of those 3, we were either colleagues for 2/3 months prior or it was an online friendship I confessed feelings for (we were WoW Raiders in the same guild, I moved states for him). 

I am very direct and to the point  

Not a cold approach. But I basically said "hey, I got feelings for you - you wonna?"

There Are some wildcard women out there. You never know who you are dealing with.
