My Spiritual Poem

I like writing these poems from time to time. Hope you enjoy!

I deign to stand unbreakable before the storm of what may come

For I know it can only bring me increase in wisdom

Or death, a total knowledge

For what good is knowledge that I know not

When I am not?

For when I am not, there is not.

 

A story?

Nonsense, fool.

It exists for itself.

 

Brought upon this earth,

I am a vessel of God

Here to engage in its word of mouth

Which creates rivers and forests,

Dark winding roads and beautiful colors

 

Truly I am a vessel, floating down endless rivers

To see what lies ahead 

Only to return to the same destination 

And fork in the river, or a spoon

Slurping up the ice cream of joy

While my theme song of life-giving blares

 

I once was assailed by pirates.

What I learned

Is to give merrily

With a wondrous embrace.

They take by hook and crook

As I lodge my hook into them

To see their entrails do a curious dance

 

Then we gather around a banquet

Enthused and bemused and willing

And tell stories and talk about our conquests 

And Aunt Susie and her children 

And the crazy party last night 

And would you believe that Mokoko 

Danced on the table?

 

I tell them to drink,

Hold tight to the warmth,

For I am aware 

That it is getting colder

And I can keep the watch by night.

I’ve kept the watch for many nights.

 

Though I’ve been sleeping

And dumb in the dirt

I know deep down 

That in my depths

I am always awake

 

By Jove,

How I imagine myself 

And love myself—

Knowing myself to be the only one

To have opened my eyes 

And seen      translucence and sexy women

Giving the command

“Let there be light!”

Perpetually masturbating

To the beauty of what I create

 

Overseer—

Envelop me in your coat of warmth

With pretty designs

That sweeps over many a field of consciousness,

Splitting them apart and uniting them,

With utmost care

    Daring even 

To become them

 

Truthfully,

I only can admire

The adornments of your coat

The adornments of my being 

For my own thumb

 

Drifting from coast to coast

With slender darkness and my tophat,

At any moment

I could dive into infinity

To be mixed up and churned out

By my own hand,

More knowing 

Than my mere narrow wit.

Heres somethin im workin on right now, for this one poem, im tryina make this like, repetitive sound or worded poetry, Like 'An oval apple, an oval apple, an oval apple, an oval apple (this is the repetitive line)  Where each line alternates between, first a normal, succinctly spoken / phrased line, then for the next line it begins what's called ἐπανάληψις (the repetitive line) which could just represent repetition (such as reocurring lines or words) or wat im tryina do, which is this constant iteration on the same turn of words, like im tryina find these phrases that can be iterated on, whether it be in English or anything else, so long as it has like, that matching quality to it like an oval apple or something.
