You can establish boundaries energetically and through behavior without having to say anything, at least at first.  If he doesn't get it, then you may have to start to say.

Sounds like an amazing client to be honest, pays for canceled lessons and increases pay without having to negotiate. I tutor as well and that sounds like a dream….

But you need to learn to enforce boundaries. He is kinda flirting with you. Don’t send photos to him, put a wall up if he advances on you. Keep it professional and be strict about it.

@Judy2 honestly he is not just crossing boundaries, he sounds a bit creepy.. like if you don't feel safe I would suggest to stop the lessons.

You sound like you are conflicted about him and that is what he senses. He definitely wants some sessions with you that is for sure.

i'm not romantically interested in him, if that is what you are asking. i am tutoring his children and like to think that i am a person they can place trust in. he is like 60 or something and has another daughter my age who already has children.

the way i see it, he has more of an administrative role but the main focus of my work are the three girls, and i get along well with them and also feel that they deserve the tutoring i can offer.

if things escalate further, i think i'll have to make him aware to keep it together for his children's sake.
