Superior according to what value system?

If the implication is that women have more power and privilege in society, then this is not accurate.

Most issues women are dealing with, such as misogyny, rape culture, unpaid emotional and care labor, systemic oppression, and gender-based violence, can't be resolved without men cooperating (which they are mostly not willing to assist women with).

On the other hand, men's issues can be resolved by actions men can take but often don’t because of patriarchal gender expectations to which they conform, since they do benefit from the patriarchal system to a large extent.

Patriarchy harms both, but for women it literally oppresses, while for men it mainly imposes constraints along with privilege. Men would tolerate the constraints as long as they are given the comfort of privilege over women.

As long as men, as a collective, do not understand that in order to remove the patriarchal constraints from themselves, they need to give up their privilege over women and consciously address the horrors and issues women are dealing with under patriarchy, there will be no change.

Just because you have these psychic powers and abilities, it doesn't mean you're any less of a human than anyone else. There are people who are fast, people who are book smart and people with strong body odor. Psychic powers are just like that. -Reigen, Mob Psycho 100

@Jannes Yeah so, my stance is that as we fix issues facing women, that might present as huge focuses, our quality of existence as men AND women increases. Men’s problems sometimes appear more acute once women gain equality. This highlights where there may have been issues with men the entire time, but because the greater threat to progression was women's issues, problems weren't visible.

Men face some rigid gender stereotypes that need to be challenged. And the source of these needs to be assessed - because some of these harmful stereotypes are extrinsic. Men face a loneliness epidemic today because their main source of connection, affection and companionship is no longer 'guaranteed' due to women's equality movements. Women generally have stronger interpersonal connections with each other AND men - meaning they spread burden of connection needs over many people. Men often just have themselves and their partner. The loneliness epidemic references is an example of the structural consequence of shifting gender roles: men are often socially habituated to connect mainly through romantic relationships or traditional hierarchies. This explains a lot of the MGTOW movement; many of these men are realizing the bond between men is important. A bond that it perhaps was neglected due to women being subjugated to men previously (before feminism and women's rights). Resenting women for this loss of 'supply' is an issue that feeds Red Pill ideology.

The problems arise when we try to come up with 'solutions'. There is an attempt to try to return to rigid gender stereotypes to feed needs.

Many people blame feminism for revealing these existing cracks - I do not think this is accurate. I think it simply reveals weaknesses already baked into an old system we are outgrowing. The above is just an example - but looking at men in education is another example of this phenomenon  - they are falling behind. Men's rights to custody of children is another inherent bias in the system that needs looking into. There are many more...

What do you think?
