Thank you, I actually really enjoyed her video. I was thinking if you ladies want to promote the matriarchy, I would use words like egalitarian more often. Because when us guys here the word matriarchy, we immediately think its gonna be exactly like patriarchy but women have all the power. And that's not what she is saying at all.

Exactly - which is why how it is phrased makes all the difference to how it is received.

I personally do not like speaking about structures within society with any sort of gendered attribute.

I find it needlessly polarizing and in some cases completely incorrect.

It also runs the risk of men and women feeling shame for things they are not responsible for - but have the power to change.


It is far easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled.

Yes, so the question is, why even call it a matriarchy at all ? Why not just call it egalitarian, and then everyone's happy.

Her videos are pretty good. "Unlearning internalized capitalism" and "starving the patriarchy" seem to be different ways of saying the same thing.
