The road is one of the deadliest places you'll ever be, yet many of us treat driving like it's a walk through the park.

This thread is for Footage, close calls, accidents, road rage, freak events, personal stories, etc. Anything that shows what really happens out there , to raise awareness of the dangers of the road.

Here is my personal car crash dash cam footage from 3 year. I was DoorDashing at the time when this happened:

Istg, i have the worst luck on the road. That, or Texas highways are ass (lots of construction here).

I don’t have a dash cam installed on my new car, but I can explain what happened.

I was on my way home from a great concert. I hit a pot hole or some unknown object on the highway , while driving at 70 mph. It was 11 PM; I didn’t see what I hit. It looked clear to me.  All I heard  was a loud BANG. And I still had 30 mins of driving left to go. My tire pressure on one tire went from 36 PSI all the way down to 26 PSI in that timespan.

Luckily, i was able to make it home safely. My service center is also only a half a mile away from me, 

That was one hell of a trip!

UPDATE:

Wahoo! My car just had a successful TOW to my local service center and she will be getting all fixed up. Her name is Meow-Mo-Beal! She'll be back to running in no time 

 

And shoutout to Mark... best service advisor evaaaa, he's worked on Meow-Mo-Beal many times!

His last words to me today, "Let's see where life takes us."

(srsly… that 17 year old girl did not GAF… i walked up to her to see if she was OK, and all she could cry about is how she would never drive again to see her friends. Good!)
