Keep in mind someone's view of human nature is literally just a view of human nature.  You're believing other people instead of thinking and observing for yourself.

This is a good point but I don't think that it applies to actualized.org forum users all that much.  It safe to say we are inherently a multi-perspectival group and most people know that of course Greene is just one perspective that is merely interesting and somewhat helpful at times.

@Natasha Tori Maru

Agreed. The thing is, everyone is giving their opinions these days over social media and even in person, but Robert is not simply a normie blabbing by the seat of his pants, he's putting in the time and effort to read 100s of books, researching the topic at hand, and then picking the best ideas from all that. This elevates his perspective.

Yes, most of his ideas are not aligned with the absolute truth, but at the survival level or at the relative level, they are quite valuable.

I think even Leo has recommended the 48 Laws of Power somewhere, not sure about it though.

First and foremost focus on enhancing and or restoring empathy, it is the basis for morality, and understanding when its been transgressed, especially with ill intent. Without empathy, we have no positive religious and spiritual intent for morality, only thr tribal game theoretic outcomes.

@oOoThere is literally a whole chapter that talks about Empathy in the Laws of Human Nature. And he has a complete book on Warfare and Strategy.

@HMD I happen chanced upon a couple of Roberts YouTube interviews where he outlined what his new book touches on.

Those little audio biscuits got me excited for it 😁

Ngl it breaks my heart to hear him speak about how much he has lost since that stroke that wiped away his life as he knew it. He seems to be mourning and continually coming to grips with limitations. He often speaks about how precious life is and how it can be ripped away in a moment.

It is far easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled.

@Natasha Tori Maru Same here, very excited! From what I can gather, he is trying to make the reader get in touch with the beauty and awe of reality, which he has said was a difficult task. I have only had those kinds of experiences through psychedelics and deep self-inquiry so far. Looking forward to what he has.

And 100%, his health issue means this might be his last book.
