I tried to explain enlightenment (awakening) to a Christian

The non-duality of waking reality and nightly dreams, i.e., seeing both as essentially the same in terms of actuality, must make you reconsider the following:

  • The "dreaming" of the dream
  • The "you" that you think is limited to waking reality
  • The viewing of stability as more true than instability

All that about dreaming has zero relationship with enlightenment, it's just a mental mess. Where is the point to defining reality in a different way than the "normies" and call it awakening? It's like flat earthing, just the need to be special

Well that’s the minds job, is to create a mess. It abhors redundancy so its job is to create a mess.  The mind is a multi tasking autonomy because it can also clean up the mess it makes. Thankfully the placeholder for all this mess is never messed up. Even though it’s all allowing and already knowing that the mind is just a temporary guest who is both the mess maker and the cleaner upper, it is both the pencil and the eraser, so to speak.

Learn to say “no” without explaining. Boundaries are the invisible walls that protect dignity.
