I feel like I should get obsessed with something and be the best in it. What should I choose? But the problem also is that if I really want to be the best by far then I have to commit many years, like being the best in smaller sports or being the best in certain video games or something like that. It is more logical if I would just have smaller goals and get obsessed with them, but this is against my feeling. Also I'm not interested in money, this is why I write in this subforum.

What are you passionate about that simultaneously offers value to society?

That's all you gotta know. The rest is the journey...

Step 1 is experimentation.

Until you can specifiy the ONE thing you are going to do, you'll remain stuck.

What should I choose?

I worked in 8 different industries in a span of 2 years and now I am happy as fuck because through that process I found what I'm doing for the rest of my life.

Try something. Anything. Fail. Try again.

It works.

The word should implies a level of guilt.

What you want to say is I will get obsessed with something.

What I will want that to be for you is understanding why you feel where you currently are is lack.

What should you choose? That's kinda like asking people to pick your favorite color for you, its not possible, you gotta find whats true for you. Find something you absolutely love to do and you will be the best at it because there would be no comparison when you truly love something you do.

The notion of comparison will naturally dissolve.

Thanks for comments.

I talk about hobbies. I don't talk about jobs. So far my hobby is to be good at a certain video game I like and be the best in it. This means putting many hours of playing every day for many years. I'm just not ceartain that this is what I should do. Maybe there are better things to do.

You're not that guy. Professional gamers don't waste time on forums. Your mission is something else and it feels like you're avoiding the discovery phase for some reason. Why?

Watch the whole thing, especially 28:23.

for me..

follow your highest spark

what has always felt natural to you, but for some reason got dimmed throughout life

in my case it´s music/djing

yours seem to be gaming, don´t judge yourself for wanting to play videogames

earning money is important but in the long run

doing something you love is what will bring the money naturally

why not start a gaming channel?

food for thought

I half agree.

I think he needs to experiment more because if you have the passion, but cannot systemize it to support yourself — due to a lack of motivation — you may have to search for a secondary passion thats more practical.

when i say follow your passion i already consider that you have means of supporting yourself, 1st degree of needs is basic

before that you won´t really have the energy, let alone motivation to pursue your passion

before i had means of providing for myself by doing what i love i would always find little ways to pursue my passion throughout my daily routine..

it´s a process...
