What is the path? Spirituality? This why you are trapped and it is difficult

8 posts in this topic

But one's you realize what is the enemy, then it is easy.

Surrendering the mind is often described as the "ultimate Everest" of human experience. It feels difficult because it isn't just a mental exercise; it is a direct confrontation with most basic survival mechanisms.

Here is a breakdown of why the mind clings so tightly to its throne:

1. The Biological Survival Script

From an evolutionary standpoint, a "surrendered" mind is a dead mind. Your brain’s primary job is to predict threats, categorize the world, and ensure your physical safety.

The Guard Dog: The mind views silence or "non-doing" as a lapse in security.

Identification with Thought: We have evolved to believe that "I think, therefore I am." If you stop the thinking process, the biological system triggers an alarm, sensing a "death" of the self.

2. The Illusion of Control

The mind loves to play the role of the "Grand Architect." It believes that by labeling, analyzing, and worrying, it is actually managing reality.

Safety via Data: We mistake "knowing about" something for having power over it.

The Feedback Loop: Surrender requires stepping into the unknown. To the mind, the "unknown" is synonymous with "danger." It would rather be miserable in a familiar reality than peaceful in an unpredictable one.

3. The "Default Mode Network" (Neurology)

Neurologically, the brain has a "Default Mode Network" (DMN). This is the circuit responsible for self-referential thought—the "I, me, mine" narrative.

The Narrative Machine: The DMN is incredibly high-maintenance. It constantly constructs a past to justify the present and a future to provide hope or fear.

Energy Efficiency: The brain is a creature of habit. Breaking the loop of constant narration requires an immense amount of "metabolic" and conscious effort because the neural pathways for "being" are often less traveled than the pathways for "doing."

4. The Ego’s Shape-Shifting

The ego is a master of disguise. When you try to surrender, the ego often simply "rebrands" itself.

The "Spiritual" Ego: It starts judging how well you are surrendering. It says, "Look at me, I am being so mindful right now, or I experienced everything, I am enlightened, god, infinite, love, "Look at me" which is just another thought-identity.

The Paradox: You cannot "will" the mind to surrender, because "willing" is an act of the mind. It’s like trying to put out a fire with a flamethrower.

5. The Fear of the Void

Perhaps the deepest reason is the fear of what remains when the noise stops. Without your titles, your history, your plans, and your grievances, who are you?

Real surrender isn't just "letting go"; it is the terrifying realization that the "holder" of the thoughts—the one you thought was you—is also just another thought.

So, what happens after enlightenment, body and mind is it's own, you are gone. 😊 You really want that? 😊

Truth doesn't sell, because it scares the shit out of you. 😊

Therefore, you keep talking about your experiences, beliefs, ideas etc... because, it is your identity. Including being God, infinite, love. Because, ego loves to cling or attach to an identity sometimes good, bad or magnificent identity. Therefore, you love Leo or other bullshit sellers. But it's not them fault. Because they don't know too.

Therefore, it is not about watching or shooting videos, reading books, trying to understand or experience, it is all about throwing all those garbages, which creates past, now or future you.

When you read these sentences watch out who says, oh this is bullshit. And more watch out who say, shit he is right I need to surrender. 😊

Awesome 🤩!!

This is not for sale. It’s like trying to know what darkness is by shining a light on it.

There comes a time when you quit being a useful idiot and just let go.

Great analysis. Thanks for sharing.and thanks for bolding the James Al part .

The simplicity of being sometimes might be uncomfortable. The ego goes "if there are no problems then let's invent imaginary problems ".

The only caveat is there is no need to badmouth Leo.

Well ask yourself since you called him a bullshit seller totally unnecessarily..meanwhile you are posting on his forum. Also Leo is obviously conscious of this message. He was done talking about these things back in 2016 . I deeply enjoy your messages but the only downside is you don't have to keep shitting on people who simply share different views than you .

The best feeling is when you look at him and he is already staring.
