@Rafael Thundercat I have read posts of B'Tselem and 'Breaking The Silence' and could agree with all the problems shown there and certainly a fundamental change in the system is needed.

Though demonization of the other is a problem of humanity as a whole. Israelis aren't any different from European citizens who don't get outraged and just keep their daily lives after heard what happened in Iraq.

The problem is that both Yuli and the interviewer in the video are doing the exact same demonization, just in the opposite direction.

@Inliytened1 disgusting to hear. Life is a video Game for this fuckers.

Did you see where he asked him who he would be if he could reincarnate.  Like a true narcissist..he said himself!

Not Washington or Lincoln :)

@Nivsch didn't mean to derail the thread meant to post this in the other thread.  But anyway..despite his narcissm I still agree with his decision.

Channel 13 has been bought by Assaf Rappaport and was saved from the possibility of falling into Bibi’s hands. This could make it the most important channel in Israel from now on, alongside Channels 11 and 12 which still being grasped among the public as anti Netanyahu at almost any aspect. In contrast, Channels 14 and 24i are pro Netanyahu though have less ratings.

Introducing the leaders of Israeli political parties.

Today: Merav Michaeli, former leader of the Israeli Labor party (2021-2024) the Democrats today, and former Minister of transportation.

If the Iranian mud that threatens us is not enough, after three weeks of a war whose purpose has not yet been revealed to the public, Netanyahu and Co. are now threatening to return us to the Lebanese mud. We wish all the IDF soldiers operating in Lebanon a safe return to their homes.

At the same time, we ask and wonder: How long will this operation last? And what is the plan this time of the government that only a year and a half ago promised us that it had eliminated Hezbollah and allowed the residents of the north to return to their homes?

According to Defense Minister Israel Katz, Lebanon "will pay a price in the loss of territory." Israeli officials bragged to the Axios website that "what we did in Gaza" had been done to Lebanon. Which Gaza? The one that Hamas still controls and is gaining strength in? And who exactly will guard the territory that the government plans to seize in Lebanon - the ultra-Orthodox, which it is not recruiting?

The worn-out and exhausted reserve forces that the IDF promised to return to a 60-day per year limit? Moreover, haven't 18 bloody years of the security zone taught us to what extent a permanent presence has only strengthened Hezbollah's power and not brought the longed-for peace to the border communities?

The necessity to disarm Hezbollah is shared by all of us, but the current operation will not achieve it. And there is an alternative. Disarming Hezbollah requires a political move with Lebanon, whose government has for the first time outlawed Hezbollah's military activity.

I call on the government to stop its idle talk about occupying southern Lebanon and stick to political activity. With the mediation of the US and other countries, it is the only one that will preserve the military achievements in the long term - so that we won't have to enter the shelters again in a year. "

I think I owe the right-wing side a bit more attention after a couple of center-left posts, so here are some voices from the last 24 hours 🏰⛲️

🥑" An optimistic story

Thursday. Missiles fly in the sky and sirens shake the air. I jump into my apartment after three weeks that I wasn’t in it, open the refrigerator, take out the pack of ripe avocados that I bought the day before the war broke out, cut them — and they’re not ripe at all.

I almost collapse mentally, look for the phone number on the package, call in anger, and a woman answers me kindly. It’s clear she’s in the middle of a drive, and suddenly I feel like the most stupid person in the world and start stammering: “Hi, um, I bought your avocados and they are uh hard, and I know there’s a world war outside and everything, but…”

“No, no,” she cuts me off, “you are completely right. Unripe avocados are a failure.

I’m really sorry,” she answers in a distressed voice, and asks that I give her the serial number on the package and my address. I answer, and for three seconds there is a feeling of a sane world, where there are no eternal wars and splitting missiles, only small dramas about unripe avocados. Then suddenly a siren starts to operate and we quickly end the conversation.

Four days later. Half an hour ago, I receive a phone call.
“Hi Amir, I’m the one from the avocados, are you by any chance in your apartment?”
“Yes,” I answer.
“Then I’m here outside.”

I go out to the entrance of the building. She gets out of the gray jeep, says hello to me, opens the trunk that is full of packs of avocados from the Galilee and hands me two with a smile.

I don’t know when all the wars will end, but there is still in me faith in the human race. And in avocados. "
