How to cope with Wage Slavery?

14 posts in this topic

I am having a crisis. These circumstances do not align with my internal workings. I do not wish to be a slave. How does one cope with modern day economic slavery?

How is it possible to bootstrap yourself out of it?

How do you even make enough to begin saving in order to have any hope to escape?

Does one have to resort to crime?

It is extremely disheartening to be treated like an animal in exchange for the ability to just barely survive. How do I stop myself from saying F*ck this and throwing everything away?

Is there any way for us to solve the errors in our system?

@No1Here2c I'd say at least try and get a career. That way becoming more skilled at your work at least leads to increasingly better work, opportunities, finances. Rather than a job where its more dead-ended.

To keep it a buck, I'm in my twenties with limited work experience. So, I'm mainly just theorising here.

Cal Newport's So Good they can't ignore you book is something I've found interesting re career stuff.

All best bro.

Find a goal worth suffering for. This is a great video on the subject.

It helps knowing that you're on the shortest possible path towards your desired life as well and not just hitting your head against random walls unnecessarily. Which is why reading business/career books is good so you learn from the mistake of others and see what route they took to success.

Still though, how do I cope with it?

I suppose I shall have to accept Truth for Truths sake. No matter how backwards our current Truth is.

If you're persuaded by my idea around at least getting a career,  then how to cope is by having the vision of this new career and taking consistent steps towards making it a reality. That would probably make your job easier, as your job is no longer your life, but instead a stepping stone.

For example, lets say you pick web design career. You could start doing a google web design training certificate in the evenings and weekends whilst not working.

Make decent amount of money, sell everything, build a home and live fully off-grid far away from society, you have mostly escaped the matrix. I know some jungles where people live like this, kinda like the movie the beach, there are such places, but you won't find them easy, nor I can share them with you. You gotta travel, and if you find the place that works for you, never look back.

Unless you reach this guys level, then you have really escaped the matrix and beyond :D
