How big is the Israel-Genocide topic in your country?

So dear community

I live in Germany and here the debate about it and the discussion about the genocide is almost non-existent. The politicians and many of the common people fiercely support Israel unconditionally. The Government sends dangerous and murderous weapons to Israel continuasly only with a small break of 2 months in the last year.

It blocks all kinds of sanctions in the Parliament even the most pathetic ones, like a label obligation for agricultural products that come from illegal settlements in the West Bank. Germany is the overpowering Vote in the EU-Parliament that hinders any kind of punishment to the Israeli Government and they do so very proudly , saying that its only the Palestinians Fault that the Genocide happened. I dont say everybody is of that opinion, but unfortunately almost all parties or on that side of theme, except The Left Party and the BSW (who is unfortunately Pro-Russia).

The Germans try to transfer the guilt of their ancestors who tried to exterminat the Jews to the Palestinian, its like their first opportunity to get rid of the guilt, so they demean everybody an Antisemitic who criticizes the Genocide. Again, its not all of them, there are many reasonable people here but its the dominating Energy

How is the Situation in your country?

U.S.

We call Germany nazi because they criminalize criticizing Israel for murdering Palestinians.

We have regular protests here against the atrocity, and political commentators regularly discuss it.

Here they literally silence it, they dont talk about it at all on Television, just once a month there is a documentary at midnight, when everybody is asleep.

It's unbelievable. And whenever it comes up its about the Hamas Terrorists, they try to handle the debate one-sidedly in an extreme way.

I've seen videos of police threatening to arrest people in Germany for complaining about Israel in public, not Judaism.

Netanyahu's far-right government caused terrible consequences in Gaza, though the definition of genocide is highly controversial, and that term is wrong here in my view.

We call it genocide if populations are being killed because of their ethnicity.

For example, Hitler initially ordered all jews to leave Europe, Germany is actually who created modern Israel, for this purpose(though it was british territory). He later killed those that didn't leave.

Native Americans were told to leave to a reservation, those that didn't, genocide. Not overtly, but slightly subtly.

The current genocide in Palestine is a continuation from Europe's first settlement there.

I'm not going to discuss this further, if you feel the need to reply.

If not proper genocide we can agree it is at least ethnic cleansing attempt which is pretty awful still

I notice people seem to think something is "not that bad" if it is not a genocide

Israel has attempted ethnic cleansing and done tons of wars crimes, that much is pretty evident at this point
