Anyone had Kensho (Zen) type of realization on psychedelics?

9 posts in this topic

- direct seeing

- not identified with thoughts

- no subject/ object separation, that separation can be still accessed by thinking but it is seen as secondary

- feeling of liberation but at the same time "this is nothing special"

- less suffering, thoughts no longer cause suffering, similar like seeing color red doesnt cause suffering

Yes, once my mind was deconstructed and I broke through to the void YES everything I knew and loved vanished like waking up from a dream. No suffering no duality no more anything just you all alone where you have always been, nowhere!!!! 🥳 can’t ever speak of it accurately but I think it’s good to say you ARE nowhere and nothing a void

you are nothing, yes that's accurate summary, but final stage of deconstruction would be even void collapsing and vanishing, as void/nothingness has subtle duality in it: there's no-thing - nothing exists in opposition to something that could exist that duality could be deconstructed too

Is zen awakening different from normal awakening? I'm confused.

The technique you're using is apt to have an influence on your experience. You're more likely to awaken to love by doing Metta, you're more likely to turn the physical world into vibrating energy doing Vipassana, etc. No self is the throughline in all of them .

well, awaken to love would imply feeling love, zen and buddhist stream entry is about perspective shift, it doesnt add any pleasant emotional states, it gives clarity by removing ignorance and false identification with self

sorry if that sounds dry

First you remove the construction then you wake up to what's true. Although for awhile I believed I'd awoken to no self and no doer permanently, turns out it was just my ocd combined with dissociation. So it can be muddy sometimes.

In my experience with them zen masters all experience love they just don't talk about it.

yes because experiences are secondary and are not the gist of it

Of course.

That's the bare minimum you get on psychedelics within 5 minutes.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.
