It's nothing brilliant, but I always try to remember that two people with wrong attitudes in a conflict will never be right in pointing out the other's mistake if their own attitude is also wrong. People have this tendency to want to justify their own shitty actions because of the shitty actions of others, when in reality they often don't make the right choice knowing they could have. Many times we don't make the right choice because it's not as advantageous, or because the result won't be predictable, but deep down we often know what should be done based on our values.

Spirituality is just a quest for ever greater mindfucks, whether you realize and/or admit it or not.

This certainly resonates with me.

Have you ever closely watched a budgie interacting with a mirror? The budgie interacting with a mirror is deeply invested in the whole situation because he doesn't fully realize that what he interacts with is just himself. How are we any different from the budgie anyway?

Had to look up what a budgie is 🙃

We're no different indeed, except it gets even more fun when you are that self-aware, to which there's endless layers. The meta goes up.

It can be very helpful is to automatically assume that the world around you and every person in it is fully enlightened and personally there to teach you lessons about yourself and reality.

In other words: assume that you are the one and only unenlightened being in existence, and everyone else is personally here to teach you. From this state of mind, you will begin to view all of the horrible behaviors of others not as signs of their ignorance and greediness and lack of development, but as lessons designed to teach you how to be a less ignorant, less greedy, more truthful, better person.

Another way of putting this is: steelman everyone and everything you encounter; and assume everyone's hidden true intention is to show you lessons about yourself and reality. Do not for a second believe that people are truly godless or truly evil, but instead believe it's all just a massive performance for your benefit and personal development.

This all culminates in the insight that everyone is your guru.
