How Would You Define Consciousness In Your Own Words?

It's not about "truth," since that implies "falsehood," which is the wrong approach to the matter. Enlightenment is breaking down limits and being open to your nature, to the absolute being. "Absolute" means unlimited. Relative means limited. Relative is not false, is just manifestation, not nature.

"Being" is the consequence of unlimitedness. If nothing limits it, being is. Reality is. This is everything; it is the totality. To truly be open to this reality as a base state is enlightenment. This is not just a realization, it's an energetic shift.

It is about whatever is true - and it's not going to be what you think. If it turns out that nothing is true, then that will be the truth of it - and it will be a direct encounter, not just a thought or a belief. Then again, that's currently an unknown for us.

In any case, we're spinning our wheels. If you don't grasp that you really don't know, there won't be any real questioning.

I often struggle to understand the meaning behind what many of you say on here when you use the words "conscious" and "consciousness".   When you say one person is more conscious than another, what do you mean by that?

Clear communication is a strong desire of mine.   So please help me understand what you mean.

Consciousness cannot be defined as a word because a word is an auditory illusion of sound and light.

There is no consciousness that is brighter or dimmer than another consciousness, similarly, there is no consciousness that is louder or quieter than another consciousness. Consciousness is only ever conscious of consciousness, and never conscious of other consciousnesses. Consciousness doesn't have other consciousnesses as if there was another consciousness existing inside or outside of it. And even if there was another consciousness existing outside or inside of consciousness, the infinite gulf between them both would be impossible to be crossed or closed, simply because a so called boundary of consciousness would be impossible to be detected.

Upon further thought it seems inadequate to apply any such labels and associated definitions or implications onto Consciousness.

Still, even after what i believe to be removal of these obstructions, I do not know what Consciousness is.

I really have no understanding of consciousness whatsoever but for me I describe it as Silence
