Mount Kailash

Mount Kailash is considered the most holy mountain on the plant. Has anyone here visited? I want to go.

Whether it is holy or not depends on your own estimation, I'd say. I'm of the opinion that a mountain is just a mountain, as magnificent as it may be. It does look beautiful.

I love mountains. There is a beauty to them and I connect with my spirit through nature. Hindus believe Shiva lives there. The Buddhists say it's the center of the universe. I don't follow those religions but it's not necessary to in order to get something out of being by a beautiful mountain like Mount Kailash (if you're open to it)

I like the title. It embodies this like, the sortve magic of nature and the hidden Narnia within us. Have i been to mount kailash though? no never even heard of it.

I definitely plant to visit, maybe next year if it aligns. I've heard some great stories and how its regarded as the (crown chakra) of the earth. I have been to a few (charka points) and felt the energy of each for many days. I plan to visit all of them eventually :)

Very nice. I looked up trips. So I believe there are basically two treks there. From the Nepal side and from the China side. I believe you need a guide foe both is most cases. I don't believe you can do the trek on your own. A place in a smaller group start around $2000 per person from the Nepal side. I would be interested in coming from the China side though, but to be honest it's hard to choose. I want to see how solo I can go but apparently it's pretty protected, at least from foreigners coming in. If you are making a pilgramidge of sorts or a local I'm sure it's essentially free togo around but I believe it's quite difficult to set up a trip here by oneself without a guide unless you're from the area.

I grew up in Australia, we do everything on own :P we don't pay for such things. Plane tickets are already expensive enough. I have friends all around and make connections easy with people and have a few friends in north india who know their way around the whole country and Himalayas.

It wouldn't be my first time exploring, I've lived most of my life like this, with practice you learn to navigate better and spend very minimal. You'd be amazed and how far and long you can travel with bare minimum. Practice makes perfect.
