Deconstructing Rationality - Part 2 - New Video

Where's the final video.

I have to be honest. I find this series highly repetitive with so many references to science and academics falling short that honestly the whole thing becomes lackluster.  Its the same thing over and over.

If you aren't going to provide anything new don't even bother with the final episode.

@Leo Gura sorry this was wrong.  I know how much effort you put into your work. And I know how long this stuff takes.  Take you time and we dont mind how repetitive it is.  I didnt mean to come off so cruel.   Your work is priceless so please continue.

Im reading David Bohms Wholeness and the Implicate Order right now and his work is a nice addition to the series.

"On the other hand, if we regard our theories as direct descriptions of reality as it is, then we will inevitably treat these differences and distinctions as divisions, implying seperate eistence of the various elementary term appearing in the theory"

"We will thus be led to the illusion that the world is actually constituted of seperate fragments and, as already been indicated, this will cause us to act in such a way that we do in fact produce the very fragmentation implied in our attitude to the theory"

Ok this is one of the videos I liked the most, because it is connected to how I feel all the time about that doctors and therapists think they can treat anxiety or ocd with strict protocols (which I tried on myself for years) which can never reach the depth of their patients problems, and I am thankful that I got to think differently from them.

Sure this problem is one of the aspects that comes from logical thinking taken religiously, but for me personally this is perhaps the main aspect.

I feel the video really sharpened things and made me feel even more comfortable with trusting my independent thinking.

If I try to think about the reason for that logical ideology, I think this is always the fear of being groundless and to lose life meaning. If a doctor or a therapist will have to admit his method is very limited, it can collapse his or her psychological world.

Maybe they generally don't feel that fear because there are more layers of protecting brain circuits standing between them and the amygdala, but they just don't know that if they will face their fear they will find out that their world won't collapse but just transform. It won't be without sacrifices, but they will come out calmer and better.

Bohm gets it.
