In need of entrepreneurship books recommendations

8 posts in this topic

I want to read good books on how to be an entrepreneurship, and the mindset behind starting/running your own business. Have you read any good books on the topic?

I am not looking for "how to invest" type of books.

The 100 million dollar series by Alex Hormozi, The Code of the Extraordinary Mind by Vishen laikhiani, and High Performance Habits by Brendon Burchard.

Also, The personal MBA by John Kaufman is a great book.

@Thought Art Cool, thanks.  "The personal MBA" seems to be more related to what I need. Is very hard to find holistic books.

"Unscripted" by Mj DeMarco, "Poor Charlie`s Almanach" don`t remember author, Secrets trilogy by Russell Brunson is quite ok but probably outdated, but check it anyway, of course Leo`s book list - do you have it?

But nowadays I think books about entrepreneurship are not so useful as videos on youtube. I think youtube will give you more practical advice about business and money than books. Search Owen Cook, Alex Hormozi, Charlie Morgan, Sam Ovens (these four guys are very good) and maybe Andrew Kirby and Dan Koe, but just maybe they could be useful.

    • The Almanack of Naval Ravikant

There has to be a good book on the topic, like a really good one. But sometimes I just prefer the practicality of a book. Besides that I find those guys quite shallow, but I'll double check

Perfect, thanks.

I'll have to sort through a lot of them and do the screening anyways.

Yeah that's how it goes. You have to find the one(s) that aligns with what you want on the spectrum from super tactical to motivational or even philosophical, and avoid the shallow ones, which usually can be smelt from the book description alone.

The truth is that no one person has a complete perspective on business in a monolithic way. Each guru has achieved success in a very specific way that was personal to them. Sample a bunch while contemplating your own ambitions would be my advice.

Yeah I see. First of all, I really don't know what kind of business model will I be developing ultimately. As a base value I want to create a business out of my passion and this is a function of personality. For some people that might mean a business of reselling a product, or doing Real Estate. But you rarely see a business model that's based on creating your unique stuff, and I am quite obsessed with that idea. But who knows, maybe at some point I will need a side hustle and my approach will completely change.
